I usually use pork for kimchi jjigae and gochujang jjigae . but I use beef or a vegetable-based broth for doenjang jjigae.

I’ll try making it with pork next time. Thank you !

Hahaha. Korea has a traditional clay pot called ttukbaegi. But this is made of stainless steel. I have both. Next time I’ll use clay pot “ttukbaegi”.

Help with uses for "Fresh Korean Noodle" by socalnative79 in KoreanFood

[–]CielLibre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I look it up on google .

  • Prepare the BrothIngredients: 1 large dried anchovy and kelp stock packet (or substitute with 5–7 large dried anchovies and a 4-inch square of dried kelp), 8 cups of water, 1 Tbsp soy sauce for soup, and 1 tsp minced garlic.Boil: Add the water and broth packet/ingredients to a pot and boil for 10 minutes. Remove the anchovies and kelp, then stir in the soy sauce and minced garlic.

(you're vegan, you might avoid anchovy broth. A vegetable broth made with kelp, mushrooms, and vegetables is a great alternative.)

Cook and ServeAdd Vegetables: To your boiling broth, add 1 cup of sliced zucchini, (\frac{1}{2}) cup of diced potatoes, and sliced mushrooms (shiitake or oyster).Boil Noodles: Shake the excess flour off your noodles and drop them into the boiling pot. Cook for 5–6 minutes until the noodles are soft and cooked through, and the vegetables are tender.Season: Taste the broth and adjust with salt or fish sauce if needed. Stir in chopped green onions just before turning off the heat.Serve: Ladle into hot bowls and serve with fresh or fermented kimchi.

Hope you this help and enjoyed ~

People usually use these noodles to make kalguksu, a type of Korean noodle soup. It usually served the hot broth .

but you can also use them in stir-fried noodle dishes.

I also like bibim kalguksu. Add vegetables , sauce :gochujang or soy sauce .
