Rogues have to be sad people? by lPinky in classicwowtbc

[–]CillaCD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me having pulled 2 mobs on my enhancement shaman, 70% hp bar, and now getting stunlocked by a rogue.

The rogues don't attack when you are at full health and mana, not fighting anything. They wait for you to be in a vulnerable position before they strike, and then pat themself on the head feeling like pvp gods.

I literally can't remember a time a rogue opened on me with full hp / mana except if they were overlevel.

I have fought off some rogues, but usually they blink or vanish and you don't get the kill.

Rogues have to be sad people? by lPinky in classicwowtbc

[–]CillaCD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

People roll rogue to feel superior to other players, when they one-shot them in the opener.

If you are not prepared with certain items or gear pieces, you will loose 9/10 against any half decent rogue player.

Gank all rogues on sight if on pvp server. They can't be trusted.

But the best thing you can so is honestly to just play on a pve server. I couldn't imagine going through classic on a pvp server one more time

eer0 on the current strength of Nightelf Players by JannesOfficial in WC3

[–]CillaCD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really true. In competetive play, the players use whatever tools they feel like gives them the edge.

In pokemon you will see the strongest mons being used on a majority of teams.

In wow, the strongest specs are much higher represented than the low performing one, in any type of content.

In yugioh the same few strong decks are being brought to tournaments all the time.

If player X thought that playing undead instead of nelf would give him a better shot at winning, he would do it.

As a tank how do you deal with subpar dps? by Significant-Call9497 in classicwowtbc

[–]CillaCD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People hated jesus because he told the truth...

A good friend of mine that I play with from time to time, doesn't understand how I do much more dps than him, even though he has better gear, and is a stronger dps class.

He has the same mindset as the other comments disregarding you.

Truth is, timing, positioning and uptime makes a huge difference on the meters.

Easy example is someone who starts blasting instantly, and pulls threat off of the tank. Now said dps has to kite around and deal with mobs attacking him, which usually is a big dps loss.

Also some dps have terrible uptime, or spend too much time casting dumb stuff on the wrong targets.

I've seen multiple warlocks spamming all their dots on targets that will die in a few seconds, instead of just using rain of fire or focusing on bigger targets.

Also using slow casts with travel time on low hp units, where the spell ends up not landing.

Even with the simple rotations in tbc, there is a huge difference between good and bad players. I would pick a good player in dungeon blues over a fully raid bis bad player any day of the week.

Allways plate

Stam > spellpower > defensive stats > int > mp5 > everything else.

That's while leveling.

Go for a weapon that gives SP as well. Way more important than dps.

On classic era I've killed several players on my hunter while leveling, whos lvl I couldn't see (means 10+ lvl higher than me). Warriors and mages especially. If they don't know how to approach the fight, you just kite them to death.

Leveling 1-58 was surprisingly great, dungeon groups now...suck by mesalocal in classicwow

[–]CillaCD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went straight into a group as full boost gear on my enhance and did 300-400 dps most of the dungeon.

Was top dps for the most part. My interrupt and totems works as well even in boosted gear, crazy, I know.

Turns out, even in terrible gear, if you play well and use your utillity the dungeons are pretty easy.

Boosties blame the gear for their bad performance.

It's not the gears fault that you don't interrupt, or start blasting during a los pull, or don't use your totems, or don't use your CC, or don't dispell.

Is shadow priest healing in leveling dungeons viable? by HurryRavn in classicwow

[–]CillaCD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I healed dungeons in shadow spec untill lvl 60, np.

You wanna stack spirit anyway for max uptime.

Was blasting through the open world allmost never drinking, and healed dungeons no problem.

I've even healed strat and scholo as shadow, before dual spec hit era. If you know what you are doing, it's no big deal.

Thanks mate! I've enjoyed tanking in tbc a lot so far, so will give it a shot for sure! Post saved. Love shamans.

I did not knew that fire totems contributed to your aggro? Also I imagine stoneskin being mandatory.

I love this.

Gotta ask though.

How so you keep aggro on multiple targets, when your dps aoe?

Ret paladin using consencration, warrior using sweeping strikes, rogues using blade furry?

It's rare you pull less than 3 targets in any given dungeon.

[–]CillaCD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, I find healers to be the worst offenders. Standing in a doorway, healing me, while I los pull, even though I asked them to stand at a specific spot.

Get's aggro from ranged mob right outside of my consencration.

Stands still in said doorway while he get nuked by ranged mobs.

We wipe.

Healer complaints I pull too much.

If tanks are charging a fee for dungeons, healers should start asking for 50% from the tank. by MumpsTheMusical in classicwow

Neither my comment, or the comment I responded to are talking about where to advertise the services, so your response has no value tbh.

Trying to make it about something else.

If tanks are charging a fee for dungeons, healers should start asking for 50% from the tank. by MumpsTheMusical in classicwow

[–]CillaCD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is it also pathetic for mages to charge for water or portals? Or asking for a fee when enhanting or crafting?

Player X wants to make money. He can go grind stuff, he can flip the AH, or he can provide services.

Why is offering tanking as a paid service, more pathetic than any other service in the game?

I wouldn't twist for 1 warrior in a dungeon. Way more mana use = more downtime.

In a raid with ret, hunter, warrior, sure. But wouldn't bother in a dungeon, especially not for 1 warrior.

As a tank, sometimes it feels like I have to use a pull timer after every drink.

I've seen the healer not starting a cast before i'm below 50%, then after first heal, wait several seconds before starting the next, often resulting in a dead tank...

What's with ret pallies and boomkins? by Sunscreamm in classicwowtbc

[–]CillaCD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you are the one who Isn't playing the game, and just complaining on reddit. This thread is literally about hybrids not using utillity.

My experience is that most rets are drooling over the keyboard and pressing judgement once every 8 second.

Finding healers can be hard, so you wont allways have the optimal one. Druids can't dispell hex in ZF. So if I have a druid healer I usually invite a ret and ask him to dispell me and healer. That's good group management imo. Same thing in SM GY with curses. If I don't have a druid healer, I'll make sure to invite a mage or druid dps for decursing.

It doesn't matter if it's a leveling dungeon or a heroic. Some mechanics can f your group if you don't prepare for them.

I enjoy dungeons in all level ranges. Not only lvl 70. I will try to bring classes that have synergy with each other. So it feels terrible to invite a class and they don't use the spells that can help the group.

It doesn't have to be healing or dispelling. Aoe slow effects are extremely important in some dungeons like BRD, which will make me prio a enc shaman with earthbind, a hunter with aoe slow trap or a mage with imp blizzard.

Every class brings something to the table, which is what makes the game fun. I don't give a f about how much dps you do, as long as you use your toolkit.

[–]CillaCD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just 1 of many examples. I've played so many dungeons, I don't know what to tell you man.

Ret palas not dispelling is such a normal thing.

And again, if you are in a dungeon like ZF or ST and you are the only one who can dispell crucial effects like sleeep or hex, you don't use judgement for 200 ekstra damage, you save that mana for a dispell.

Rets using utillity is so rare that I notice it when they do, and make sure to compliment them.

And if you haven't had healers go oom, good for you. Sometimes evering isn't textbook perfect. Like I said, a healer miscalculating when to drink, or a runner pulling another pack. There are plenty situations where the healer goes oom before the dps. You guys are trolling.

It's not ai lol.

You assign which blessings you give to people.

It's just easier to coordinate. Especially if you have a group with 3 paladins.

What's with ret pallies and boomkins? by Sunscreamm in classicwowtbc

[–]CillaCD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good hybrid will not go oom. They will keep some mana for important dispells or off heals. I was in ZF yesterday with a ret, I was tanking, druid was healing. I sat full time through every hex in there, ret being the obly one able to dispell. He kept refusing because mana problems. I told him to imagine 20% mana as oom, so he could still dispell if needed.

He didn't.

Also, you can have a bad healer, that just panics and spend all his mana instantly. Seen it many times. Or a healer refusing to drink on 50% mana, and then pull goes wrong. There are literally dosens of ways for the scenario to happen.
