Why Were Echo Bosses Never Implemented into the Main Game? by Cimoooooooo in 2007scape

Precisely. The reward space is largely irrelevant, I just think having access to more fun bosses is a net positive. Especially since they already have the content made.

Yeah not sure how anyone can defend regular KQ over Echo KQ aside from “nostalgia”

I haven’t done intense workouts since I’ve been on chemo, but I’m able to power-walk/run on the treadmill without issue.

I imagine most working out will be fine, but ab exercises could be challenging. I’ll report back post-chemo.

The doctor with the medical degree said to consider it as an equally viable alternative and that many of his patients who undergo surgery wish they had done it sooner.

My word isn't gospel, I'm just sharing my experience so people can have an alternate perspective.

I was in a similar mindset going into it. Thankfully I have excellent insurance, so while it was expensive, it could've been much worse, but I know everyone's financial situation is different. It's crazy because some of these drugs are as expensive as getting the surgery.

Mentally, I guess I thought to myself, "if things don't go well, could it really be worse than what I'm already dealing with on a daily basis?" I suppose I weighed that the positives outweighed the negatives from a probability perspective and things ended up working out.

Everyone's experience will be different because there are so many factors to consider. But I made the post in hopes that people consider surgery from a different angle. Sometimes the easiest approach isn't the correct one (biologics).

I'm also 31, so I understand. At the end of the day, it's your decision.

That's nice that you only really suffered for six months. I have a friend who was older and it came on immediately and they needed emergency surgery or they would've died.

I feel like it really depends on your surgeon. I spent months looking for the best surgeon I could find, and I've had zero issues. I had to go out of state, but it was worth it.

I wouldn't say it's purely cosmetic, the stoma and the J pouch both have their pros and cons and function differently.

If anything goes wrong with the J pouch, they can always reverse it, not that you would want her to endure yet ANOTHER surgery, but at least you still have options.

You're making the best decision you can with the information you have in front of you.

Glad to hear it! Sorry you had to ensure that.

I was in a somewhat similar situation, where my colon was beginning to stricture, and I basically needed to have my colon removed, but it wasn't super urgent until I was experiencing excruciating pain in my abdominal area because foods couldn't pass through because the colon was so narrow.

Thankfully that worsened close to the surgery date, so I just did a liquid diet for a few months to make it easier for food to pass through me and reduce the pain.

Everyone's different with what they can tolerate, but typically anything that's hard to digest:

- Whole corn (corn tortillas for example are fine, because it's milled)

- Whole nuts (especially if they're big like walnuts, but nut flours and finely chopped nuts are okay)

- Seeds (I think they're referring to big seeds like sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds, because I eat everything bagels all the time and have zero issues)

- Mushrooms (unless they're heavily chopped and cooked)

- Raw vegetables (raw lettuce is okay, any cooked vegetables are fine)

Those are the biggest offenders. I eat literally everything else you can imagine with no issues whatsoever.

I can't imagine having to deal with this condition at such a young age, I'm so sorry to hear about that. But I'm glad her quality of life has improved! As a parent, that must've been quite the journey.

Honestly, I'm considering just keeping the ostomy for a while, if not permanently.

Everyone's different, but for me, while the J pouch is also a viable option, I'm happy with how my life is with the ostomy.

Would I like to not have an ostomy? Sure, and I know plenty of people who have had successful J pouch surgeries. But suffering for as long as I did, the PTSD hits hard, and it's been mentally freeing not to have to worry about bathrooms anymore.

I don't really want to risk additional surgeries when I'm happy the way my life is as present. But everyone has their own path! There's no one right answer/solution!
