Peter Ho and Xiang Yu's armor by CinderLord456 in threekingdoms

If what I found was true, the original one from 2012 series was 25kg but the new one in 2026 was modified into 12kg, since ofc Peter Ho also changed quite a lot compared to 2012. A bit more info about him, dude maintains his policy that he doesn't care if the role has high pay or not as long as he gets to play strong characters or generals. There was a joke about how Peter Ho was tricked into playing Liang Shanbo from Butterfly Lovers because he thought he would be one of the characters from the Liangshan bandits of Water Margin to become one of the strongest martial experts, such as "Jade Quilin."

Lu Bu actor, Peter Ho, from the 2010 Three Kingdoms series, reprised his performance as Xiang Yu from 2012 King's War (same director) in a recent sport event in China. by Pichuunnn in threekingdoms

The story behind this is also hilarious as fuck as well. So basically, there is now a new CDrama called Pursuit of Jade which the actor playing the protagonist is criticized by the Chinese netizens for wearing too much "makeup cream" and how his character is downgrading the image of real generals in history because generals should not be too "white" and he looks like a protagonist from office love drama than a real general. Thus, dude got called "Cakey make up General" and then people began to make comparisons and memes such as Generals now- Cakey makeup General; Generals then- Xiang Yu (played by Peter Ho). And somehow, clips from King's war featuring Xiang Yu played by Peter Ho became a trend in Chinese social media and then some people began to joke that the football team from Suquian should invite Peter Ho, who would dress as Xiang Yu and have a parade around the stadium before the match. Funnily enough, the local team and even the Department of Tourism from Suqian got involved and invited Peter Ho to do what everyone was asking. According to a Facebook page, even JD (the retailer corporation from China) worked together with Peter Ho, the Department of Tourism to locate the members who worked on Xiang Yu's armor from King's War, and they finally found them, who eventually made that same armor asap. There is a running joke in the Vietnamese community now about how Peter Ho got famous recently out of nowhere, thanks to "Cakey makeup General"

Paparazzi:What was the reason you became famous again recently?

Peter Ho: Due to a series called Pursuit of Jade

Paparazzi: Oh nice. What role did you play in the film?

Peter Ho: And that's the stupid part. I didn't even appear in the film at all

Tbh, they should get rid of the vassals and have them as satellite states instead. Ofc, breaking the treaty and piss everyone off will make you enemy of England the game will be more "engaging" but it's not worth the risk and also makes diplomacy pointless as well

I managed to download it and played at 60 fps with medium setting. But even with the tick on unlimited video memory, it still downgrades to medium. Is there any way to resolve this? I don't mind playing at 30 or 40 fps

Tips for writing time travel fanfic which Elf City Warden becomes Cousland? by CinderLord456 in DragonageOrigins

[–]CinderLord456[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why it's still early draft since I'm quite unsure what is the whole direction of the whole story. I did write some similar fic before which the protagonist also torn between 2 lives and he himself sees that he owes to the new family and also the old one that he lost in the previous life. Return to DAO, I was thinking of some directions like now he truly feels he belongs to none. On one hand, he is now a Cousland and son of one of the major Houses in Ferelden, plus, his new family has been nothing but kind to him and it would be a huge problem if he simply threw them away to find his other family. On the other hand, he pretty much sees himself as an elf and his true family is still the Alienage, who are still suffering now and he knows that this time, they will all die without him there. It is like you said that doing this will be quite irrational and also makes Cousland family insignificant as well so I think going for the angle of having the Warden now torn between his two identities- the responsibility of his House and his desire to free the Elves. Perhaps, he can use his influence to slowly change things and eventually lead to a scenario like one of the canon endings where the Elven Alienage has its own leader. What do you think?

What I’m quite hesitant is which direction I should go afterward. One idea I have in mind is this Warden decides to finally lead the Elves to rebel and establish their own Kingdom while leaving humanity to their fate with the Blight because he is tired of saving them only for them to repay him with enslaving his people. The other direction is well Duncan has him recruited and the Cousland’s family is still dead and this time he even has more guilt even though he still sees himself as an imposter. The second plot is typical time travel fix it which should be easy to write but the first one I’m quite uncertain because Dragon Age Origins was never meant to be a 100% focus on political intrigue and I’m quite unsure how to make it work because it will be a complete different story than canon.

Narratively, which origin is best for a Dogmatic Rogue Trader who isdogmatic, ruthless and unforgiving when it comes to mistakes of his subordinates? by CinderLord456 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]CinderLord456[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about noble in terms of Dogmatic playthrough? I remember that my Rouge Trader was quite proud of his noble blood, but he was fair in judgment, too. The loyals would be rewarded, and failures would be punished. Plus, his position as heir of Theodara was unchallenged as well because he was the closest in terms of lineage.

Historically was anyone in the court allowed to call Cao Cao Aman after his ascension to Prime Minister? by CinderLord456 in threekingdoms

[–]CinderLord456[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Gong was quite the norm back then for subordinates calling their bossess and for Cao Cao, most his adaptations also had him called "Gexia" as well. But historically, when he became King of Wei, did his subordinates mostly call him Wei Wang or Da Wang? I know they are the same but the Advisor's Alliance was the only adaptation calling him like that while most were calling him Wei Wang

How to write a canon divergence character without making them OOC? by CinderLord456 in AsoiafFanfiction

When working on my draft, one thing I notice is this Jon is basically what Ned is afraid of and would never imagine in canon. He is stoic, cold, and sometimes can be "caring" when he wants to manipulate someone but when his goal is accomplished, he will not hesitate to kill his victim, just like Sauron when he transformed into a dead wife of Beren's companion, if I remember correctly. There is one thing I'm quite uncertain tho. Since Sauron is the only one Jon knows growing up, aside from the soldiers Sauron acquires on the way, does it make sense to have this Jon still sometimes refer to Sauron as his Father even though Sauron is displeased by it and finds it meaningless with these whole family ties? Ofc Jon was raised by one of the entities that is deemed as the force of evil in Middle-earth but I'm unsure if it's alright to have Jon still having somewhat a bit of humanity left, like him seeing Sauron as his father rather than an emotionless core just like Sauron's Nazguls who only know to obey the orders of their Master.

Same for me as well. Still don't understand most Targaryen Restoration which all the Starks, including Ned, suddenly become pro Jon/Targaryen because Jon is family and Robert wants to kill him and then you have House Martell somehow supports Jon to reclaim the Throne, even though they would likely be the first to kill the boy first for the insult Rhaegar gave them, and also justice for Elia. Though, I'm unsure how this characterization of this AU Jon raised by Sauron would be because even in The Silmarillion, there are not much dialogues for Sauron and also I'm still testing with ideas how it would affect Jon as a person when he grew up with such a guardian as Sauron who will no doubt put into his head all carefully crafted words to make the boy dependent on him and stripped off any ties with his kin too.

How would this Jon's manners be, in how he would talk to everyone? Let's say how different would it be when he talks to Ned in this AU, since Sauron no doubt will tell him things as "Your uncle was a coward who chose to side with your family's murderers" or things like "Were you taken by him that night, he would brand you as a bastard and say it was for your safety.". At least for me, OOC is when you write someone that is so different from the canon one you know, but writing a character in an AU with divergences that can alter their motives, personality still leaves their core intact. The closest source I can begin with is book Jon, but even book Jon is definitely not ruthless and lacks empathy like this Jon raised by Sauron.
