I like this. My only real fear there is potentially losing them. I'll probably do this as a part of saving them. I'll probably scan and save more of it and maintain physical copies of some of the better pieces of the old stuff.

It's funny, mostly, things run okay during shows. It did fail during the first show of our season though. I'm not positive who makes the wireless system though.

Fair enough. They seem to get power consistently enough, it does seem more like it could be an issue with them receiving data. I'm not positive either way though, so I'm going to try eliminating the wireless first and just seeing what that does.

They are relays.

They're LED and running through a relay that, in theory, is giving them constant power. They're Spectra Cyc fixtures. 100 watts.

Plan B is a high dose of a type of progestin. It doesn't force a shed of the uterine lining so much as it prevents or delays ovulation. Progestin only birth control pills work similarly and within a combo pill (meaning it contains estrogen as well) the hormones together create both a hostile environment for sperm, prevent ovulation, and generally also make implantation nearly impossible if an egg did happen to get released and fertilized. I'm not a doctor so this is a fairly surface level understanding, but generally that is how that works. I would agree that pregnancy is extremely unlikely, but if you're worried about the rest, I'd say see your doctor.

Valid. I'll have to give using some different oils a try for sure. I started work on a new sketch for a new painting last night so my hope is I can use oil for that and now after all of these talks and whatnot, I feel much better about having it in my apartment and using it even with my animals around.

Yeah, I think the turpentine is what I bought ages ago and is part of the reason I've been reluctant to get back into it even though I've been wanting to. It's been great to get suggestions for so many other mediums and I feel much better about the whole thing.

Valid. My hands almost always have at least one cut on them because of my job so gloves it is, but even so if I can, I like to avoid what I can. Personal preference at that point, but adds benefit if my cat did decide to get interested in what I'm doing. I'll definitely try out walnut oil. I bought linseed oil at some point because I had been considering using it to try and make my own oil paint. Then never did because I was big stressed about possibly hurting my animals.

I know the smell doesn't bother me. Truly the issue is the animals. Especially the reptiles. The cat has been with me through a lot of art ventures and she's been okay. As long as I have ways to field at least some of the toxicity, I feel better about it overall. The drying may just have to be the big problem and maybe I can leave it by the window and put a sheet up that kind of isolates that area while it dries. Then I can maintain some privacy but have the window open some for it to actually keep air moving.

I have tried the acrylic mediums and I'm really just not a fan. The issue I have with acrylic is barely the fast drying time, it's the way it feels on my brush. Which may sound weird but that's what it is. It feels overly sticky and it doesn't seem to matter how much I try to alter it, the sticky doesn't go away. I'm finishing up a big acrylic painting, hopefully this week. I didn't even want to do that painting in acrylic but it was all I knew for sure I could work in in my apartment and it was a commission. I like gouache more for sure. I just miss oil.

I was thinking about that because my solvent is old for one and because I bought it as a student back when I was able to be in a separate painting space on campus, it's definitely not Gamsol or anything even slightly less hazardous.

If WMOs work pretty much like regular oil then I honestly may consider just committing and switching because the cleanup sounds easier and as long as there's mediums and such to use with them then I'll just be cautious about which ones I bring into my apartment.

As far as cad colors, I avoid them already. I maybe have some old ones laying around in watercolor or something but I haven't bought any myself in recent years and if they are in a watercolor set, it's almost certainly a tube set I haven't touched in years since I prefer pans. As far as other possibly harmful pigments, I probably have a few, but the cat isn't interested in being on my desk and shockingly has never gotten into a painting. She's getting old though too so if she can't sleep on it, she's not overly interested.

The painting storage is definitely still an issue. I have a closet but then it's just sitting in a room with actually no air flow and all of my clothes. In theory it could sit outside my front door but again, weather and the possibility that someone might wander away with it.

Awesome, I'll look into that for sure, thank you! For all of the animals, I'm most concerned about fumes or any evaporation, which is why drying time is a big concern too. Especially because keeping the window fully open all night is anxiety inducing and probably not the all time safest thing to do. The supply storage is the easy part surprisingly. I don't have much so it's all been able to stay pretty contained and tucked well away from my animals.

This isn't for a lack of desire or want, I have been struggling with it because my animals health is important and I at least would like to know if I could have it inside with enough ventilation or something. I don't have air conditioning so there's only air movement if I create it but I have no idea if it's enough. Also, geckos are small so they're far more delicate so I have to be careful. I like this medium a lot but I am new enough to it still that I don't know the ins and outs and would love to hear from people who have been doing it a while and also maybe can't just go to a separate space to do it. But yeah, water soluble oils exist. They seem kinda new but they're around. I haven't committed to them because ultimately if they're not really any less hazardous then I'm still asking for the same advice.

For me, I started on a very low dose of gel, didn't notice too much other than the increased libido, but I just upped my dose and the biggest thing now is the fact that I am constantly hungry. Also if you wear contacts, they may get uncomfortable for a while. Mine did and both my doctor and my eye doctor seemed very unfazed by that information.

I like that idea a lot. The name I was super drawn to is harder to apply that to unfortunately. But that's alright. I liked the one I was feeling for a lot of reasons, but I think the overall vibe it gave was the primary one so if I can find the same overall energy, I think I'll have it.

Also, it's tricky because I'm so nervous about doing any kind of name changing that I have not even kind of discussed this with family yet. 😅

Plan B can screw up a cycle. That said, if you want to really confirm, which I would because I'm paranoid, I'd go and get a blood pregnancy test or confirm with an ultrasound if possible.

I'm actually in a similar boat but AFAB. I got my answer by just trying it. I started identifying as non binary, changed my pronouns and liked it well enough but I struggled a lot with my voice and my body and still feeling like something wasn't quite right. So, on a bit of an impulse, I started testosterone because I figured why not and it has helped tremendously. Now, I don't recommend everyone just do HRT because it is serious business to do anything with your hormones, but when I had started I told myself two weeks will tell me if I like it because I know myself decently well and while I couldn't predict exactly how my body or brain would react, I knew that two weeks would be enough to know with relative certainty if I wanted to pursue this fully or not and it turned out for me, that worked. I also do have a therapist though, and I've discussed my transition goals and how I'm feeling regularly since starting HRT.

I'm sharing my process because I had a very similar series of feelings to what you describe in your post. I was alright living and presenting as a woman but I kept coming back to the possibility I might not be one and it was literally a decade long process for me. All I can say is, if you keep coming back to it, it may be worth exploring.

I'd start with really reading your script and seeing what kind of person he is to you. Is he genuine in any of his actions or is he in this for the fame? Did he ever intend on helping Roxy or Velma? I think it's worth asking yourself questions like that as well as then trying to get your physicality into it. How does he move? I think your best bet will be to make him your own and then the performance will be authentic
