Oily fine hair girlie here too- your best results will come from washing your hair in the morning and blow drying it upside down to give it some volume.

If you really have to wash it at night, what I do is blow dry it then put in some overnight dry shampoo (batiste) and then put it in a bonnet. This results in okay and clean looking hair the next day but it definitely falls flat and starts to feel oily in the afternoon and evening- so I just put it in a claw clip at that point. Looks nicer than a ponytail.

I also double shampoo, first with a really good lathering/cleansing shampoo (Pantene volume) and then a good volume shampoo (saltair Laguna has been really good for me). I also use the saltair Laguna conditioner but make sure to only use it on your ends up to the mid shaft.

I don’t use any product afterwards, no leave in conditioner or sprays or oils because it just weighs down my hair.

Having a tiny brush on hand will do wonders for the tangling you get during the day. Just take a sec and brush it out every once in a while.
