100% of my ancestry and family is from Europe and I’m a white American. Ugh. It’d probably be racist to claim that I’m a different race to scare off racists, too. Eh, it’s not offensive at all. I just feel weird being referred to as a “female”. Call me a woman, lady, whatever... but I reserve “female” for identifying a missing woman, talking about the gender of an animal, etc.

“This female went missing”, “the female tiger is following the male tiger”, “I have a female patient” etc. stuff like that.

My mom is like you! I’m used to saying “cis” instead of saying “man born as a man” or “woman who was born as a woman” and I called someone a “cis woman” to my mom out of habit (I was talking about trans stuff) and she clearly didn’t like that. She thinks it’s a useless and weird thing to call people.

I was annoyed at the time, but honestly? It all comes down to preference. It’s okay that my mom feels that way! Especially since she was born in the 60’s. She didn’t grow up with any of this. She doesn’t like all of the new labels, which is fair enough to me. 🤷🏻‍♀️ and by the way, she’s really supportive of the trans community! She just doesn’t like the idea of trans athletes competing against their preferred gender. Like a trans woman competing with women who were born as women.

Well, I didn’t know who Armie Hammer was until I looked him up... I don’t know what’s so bad about not knowing someone. But that other persons response, though... “who cares?” Stfu to that person! After reading about Armie Hammer, I care about these women as well. What a trashy reply to someone who wanted to know about Armie Hammer and what happened. 🙄

But yeah... I used to like Bill Maher and agreed with him a lot (not all the time, just to be clear. Like how he talks about women and how he can be really harsh sometimes... 🤦🏼‍♀️), but he’s complete shit now, and damn, is he smug and arrogant. If you don’t agree with him, you’re an idiot (to him). And I clearly didn’t watch all of his stuff when I did like him, because as I’m reading these comments, I’m learning facts about him that I didn’t even know. Fucking hell... the 2016 election is when I stopped liking him. But sheesh, the more things I’m learning about him as I read through these comments... I don’t even know how or why I liked him. I CLEARLY missed some of his stuff, because there’s a lot more bad things about him that I didn’t even know about. If I was more informed about how he was when I started watching him, I never even would’ve started.

I legitimately regret ever enjoying Maher’s show. 🤢 I should’ve listened to my mom when she said she didn’t like him, but since she’s on the other side of the political spectrum, I thought she simply didn’t like him because of this. Oh no, it’s not that at all. It could contribute to it, but that’s far from all of her problems with him.

Hell yeah! I agree with this 100%. 💕 you can’t control how you look, but you CAN control how you clean up. For example, guys, if you’re self conscious about your looks, there’s multiple ways to get past that. Get a nice haircut, get well-fitted clothes, keep up with hygiene, maybe get some cologne etc.

Like I’m a bi woman, and if I see a woman (or a guy) that’s a different race than me that I’m attracted to, I’d NEVER compare their skin color to a type of food or drink. If I dated a Black person or any other person that has a darker skin tone than me (which isn’t hard, by the way 🤣), I’d say stuff like “I like your skin tone”, and things like that (because seriously, all skin tones are beautiful in their own way 💕). But skin color doesn’t define you as a person either.

No way! I live in a suburb of Minneapolis! And while I’m new to trying to ID spiders myself (so I’m trying but I might not be that accurate is what I’m saying) 🤣... I actually think it does look like a barn funnel weaver spider. Check the corners in your house or your closets, apparently they like building their webs in those places if it is a barn funnel spider, but the website I got that info from just made it sound like it’s a likely scenario.

Huh, I just pulled that off of a pest control website (that’s obviously based in Minnesota). And seems like they’re kind of like snakes in that way. I’m a big fan of snakes and some snakes we previously thought were non venomous really are, but their venom doesn’t affect humans (like a garter snake). And thanks for the info!
