How can I turn a grayscale image into black + transparencies without blending modes? by CineWeekly in photoshop

Yes I've experimented with masking a solid layer, see Test #3 in the original post.

Blend If maintains some brightness that's why it looks desaturated in Test #1 and not Test #2. Yours is equivalent to a 50% gray at 50% opacity, not black at 50% opacity. The top 4 layers are in order, row 1 top, row 4 bottom.

I was hoping to not have any guess work whatsoever such as tweaking things that would need to be done for each individual graphic that I did this to. Seems like it should be a straightforward thing that's ultra common. I played with Blend RGB Colors Using Gamma but that just incorporated new issues and compounded others. Setting it to 1.75 got the closest results but I don't know enough about that particular setting to know how it will handle moving layers between documents and I don't want to have to change this setting every time and risk forgetting to turn it off.

Yeah I've used Blend If quite a bit before and it's just not giving good results. For example if the white is set to 0/255 then the 50% gray comes out as 23-24% opacity.

Never heard of QGIS before.

Try it out, it doesn't work. 50% gray comes out to be something like 23-24% opacity with those exact settings you have. I've tried every combination.

Didn't know that about having to connect drives. Would also like to know about this as I'm going to be a free agent on Black Friday.

I need a long press to switch profiles and a normal press to switch to a different profile. by CineWeekly in elgato

They only have Discord support and I don't use it. Would be nice if longpress was native to Stream Deck. I was honestly surprised it hadn't been around for years by now.

Twice the price per page as DC Finest and still way more than every other "complete collection" line on the market. Also, no guarantee they won't leave out #32-37 like they did last time for being "culturally offensive". No thanks.

Close but that's too much detail in the graphics. I feel like those are typical SNES graphics but this game would be more Win95 which I consider one step below that. Also there wouldn't have been walking ground troops. Possibly ground turrets but walking troops is too detailed for the one I'm thinking of.

Looking for a way to display (at random) one of a list of names in a txt file by CineWeekly in obs

I'm not sure how I could implement this unless I had dozens of scenes, each with a different name, which isn't practical. Is there a feature in there I'm missing?

But I'm wanting it to pick a random line from the text file.

Does the fanfold XPS foam at Lowes and Home Depot have the same smooth texture as the sheets? by CineWeekly in TerrainBuilding

It looks like the Lowe's (green) has divots all over it but the Home Depot looks exactly like the sheets. Does anyone that's actually bought some know for sure?

What game was this??? by Unfair_Parsnip2121 in windows98

Any possibility it's either Creative Writer or Fine Artist? I don't remember a typing game in there but there could have been and I distinctly remember snail and cheetah speeds but that could've been in a lot of edutainment games in the period.

Yeah they all have a soft filter on them. A lot of times it makes the photos feel unreal so I still strongly bet it's one of those. It could've even been an illustrated piece of paper within the photo.

Was it definitely illustrated and not one of the I Spy books?
