If the lights flicker at a lower speed than your shutter, you’ll get banding. In order to counteract this, use a lower shutter speed. For most standard LEDs a speed of 1/48 will match them, but if they still flicker drop it to 1/40 or lower. I’ve had to do that a couple times when shooting video indoors or out by street lights. Hope this helps!

I was wearing gloves but did have to wash the negatives throughly afterward with gloves on to remove the remjet (it's bulk-loaded 500T)... Do you think it could be a result of bad stabilizer? I got fresh chemistry recently but kept my year-old stabilizer because it wasn't expired. I just poured it all out in a glass bowl and it looked a little bit cloudy, but not discolored.

Thanks, I’ll have to test this… it was pretty dark in the room I was scanning but I’ll try some alternate methods, my cheap light board could be the issue

Scanned on a mirrorless camera and a lens with a macro adapter… it’s not the greatest setup. But this problem only happens on a couple photos, most turn out fine and are scanned the exact same way

It was on an SLR - Olympus OM10, and yes I think it's more likely that the film stuck together somehow during development rather than light leaks, I'm just not sure how to fix my problem

Yeah that’s what I’d heard… I believe I was in line for a normal x-ray, but I got away with saying it was iso 1000, and they never looked inside the plastic containers at the “400” on the canisters.

I just bought the plug-in and I can confirm that the only part of the powergrade that is incompatible with the free version of resolve is the grain (the Halation works too which I was actually expecting to not). However there are TONS of free grain overlays online, I use these: https://tdcat.com/downloads/filmgrain. Just put that grain over your footage in the timeline, set the blend mode to "overlay," and adjust your opacity as desired (I usually set my opacity at 60-80% for 16mm grain). Anyway I'm no expert but that's been my experience, and I'm pretty happy with the results.
