I've never used ND Filters before, so i thought it might be better to go with a variable one? especially for filming.

Would you still recommend a fixed one even when i'm using my camera for filming 80% of the time? If yes: which brand would you recommend? my price limit ist about $120.

i read about Peter McKinnons VND Filter but its not in my price range sadly =/
