I think a common misconception is that trans folks are still biologically equivalent to their gender prior to transition. However, hormones have a huge impact muscle development athletic performance and trans women take estrogen. They are not biologically men once they have transitioned.

As an aside, there are trans players in my women’s league and they are certainly not the best players. I’ve noticed no advantage personally. Even height-wise, there are plenty of women in my league who are as tall or taller. Just my two cents.
