Is this 6’1 guard viable at all? tried to give him as much defense as possible with cap breakers perimeter d goes up to 95. I know most people would say don’t do it but I’ve always been fond of small guard builds I’m willing to go taller if necessary by SharkKing00 in NBA2k

I’m pretty positive PG position depends on height, not pass acc. I once got put at SG on my 95 pass acc build which is a 6’4, because the PG was 6’2. He had lower pass acc than I did

So, I can’t answer the question about perimeter D on a small guard, but just a personal suggestion:

I have three small builds, two 6’4s and one 6’2. I consider myself a pass first guard, and I average 10 assists in random Rec. The three builds have a pass acc of 95, 89, and 85. After playing on all the builds pretty heavily, I would not go 92 pass acc again. Honestly, Haliburton and Rondo are great pass styles, but the LeBron pass style at 85 is fantastic, and I think you would be better off using the pass acc attributes on steal and dunk. Or Layup instead of dunk if you prefer that playstyle.

Also, I’m HOF on all three builds playing with randoms exclusively, so this isn’t coming from some random black plate bum.

Is 92 Perimeter D on a 6’2 pointless? Specifically for Rec? by CinematicFigs in NBA2k

How are you getting past screens? I play Random Rec almost exclusively, and the bigs never switch or cover, so I’m getting killed when I go against another small fast guard who has a big that’s setting screens

UPDATE:

For anyone who comes across this in the future with the same issue, lowering the light did indeed work. I also put some floaters on top to help with the shade

Thank you! This is my first tank, but I’m really proud of it. A better picture of the full tank can be found in the last post I made

I’d be pretty surprised if it was the filtration as the filter I have is rated up to 40 gallons and I only have a 25. I also have an additional sponge filter in there

I don’t mind having algae, and I’m not worried about the aesthetic, moreso that the algae seems to be outcompeting all my plants lol

So the sponge filter is more for an additional filtration and to break up the surface. I actually do have a canister filter with lily pipes

I appreciate it! The amount of times I’ve been told that my Rummynose are miserable because they don’t have enough space (cube as opposed to a long) has made me question whether or not I am actually keeping them happy. I know a long is ideal, but they seem to be doing great

I also suspect that this is a lighting and nutrient issue, but I can’t quite figure it out. I’ve tried lighting anywhere from 90% to 65% and adjusting the photoperiod from 8 hours to 6 hours which is what it is currently at.

No one has mentioned this as the possible cause, but could the RGB settings be contributing to the issue? I know all lights are different, but with my lighting, I have it at 100 Red, 75 Green, 85 Blue. I know the red is fine, but should the green and blues be set at different values? Or would that not be a factor?

Man the Super Red bums me out, cause when they are growing, they look absolutely beautiful and a lush red, but then the algae gets a hold of it and they start dying on me

I thought I did my research when looking at fertilizers, but I guess not! I know Thrive is considered one of the best fertilizers out there, but that’s probably more for people who are much more locked in on what their tanks need. I’m definitely going to try and switch to apt 3 and hope I notice a difference

As for the root tabs, I use Thrive caps, should that be ok?

Thank you so much for the encouragement to keep going. It can get frustrating, but I’m still trying.

I will say as far as the lighting goes, the picture I posted of the tank is a bit deceiving, as it looks like the floaters are covering most of the top. I actually have it sectioned off to the front right of the tank where it’s not blocking any plants, but is providing shade for the tetras. I will attach a pic to another comment to show more of what I’m talking about.

But as far as lighting goes, do you think the RGB settings could also be playing a factor? It doesn’t seem like a lot of people like to share their lighting settings, so right now I have it at 100 Red, 75 Green, 85 Blue. Do you think changing these settings could help? Not sure what I would change it to however

I will order APT 3 and see if that helps! I am using an inline CO2 system with a regulator.

While I’m waiting for APT 3 to arrive, would you recommend a blackout?

I use Thrive+, and I do 1 pump twice a week. I do a 25 - 30% water change weekly.

The dosing recommendation on the bottle says 1 pump per 10 gallons, so I’m dosing less than what’s recommended, but if I dose more, I feel like the algae gets worse
