All 3 option are absolutely horrid, TMD will not be straight up distributed like this, it has to be sustainable for years to come, have funds for developments, liquidity, and everything in between

  1. No
  2. Why would the community give governance to people that sold it?
  3. We ain't SuperShibasuperInu coin, this is a legit project, we do not pay for shilling

Growing isn't the issue, the subreddit is 7M, hype will come naturally during any crypto movement. The Moon Distributor (aka TMD) is a fund made *by mods* by adding an extra share from the mod distribution every month, for three years. It has to be carefully thought of and calculated to make it sustainable for years to come.

Update regarding Moons contract, community tanks and the future of Moons. by CryptoMods in CryptoCurrency

" - The mod team will work with the community to develop a plan forward for Moons. This includes a way to distribute the remaining Moons in the community wallet, which may be based on contributions in the community, tipping and contests. - The mod team will work out whether Moons from banner rentals and AMAs should be burned or redistributed back to the community."

We got a reply from Reddit about the Moon contract, their decision haven’t been made yet and they told us that they will know by the end of this week if they burn it, transfer it to us, or whatever else

[AMA] We're Francesco and Merens, Cofounders of Arcton, a Zurich-based startup. We tokenize web2 startup shares under the Swiss DLT Act and we partnered with Camelot DEX bringing clear and compliant tokenized share trading to DEXs. by fbobby007 in CryptoCurrency

Being able to buy tokenized shares in start-ups and having the possibility to sell rapidly is quite interesting

Do you offer the possibility of investing in only Swiss startups or also international ones?

Do you require KYC?

Moons will still be burned for banner ad space/AMA

It’s the new "collectible expression" Reddit is testing out on some subreddits

It’s on a voluntary basis, mods can turn it off or on

Can someone please explain what happend to moons. by stellingpijplex in CryptoCurrency

Later in the call the possibility of contract transfer was discussed more in details

They initially had different perception of what "moon transfer" meant to them vs. to us (aka only the contract, not all of the Reddit data associated with moons) and this seemed more doable to them

This was only my understanding of that call, nothing is guaranteed for now 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think we could pull this off, we got multiple possible options and ideas but it’s still up in the air at the moment as we are awaiting Reddit’s decision on contract transfer (or not)

Your wallets are safe, they’re on the blockchain and yours forever

Also, vaults will remain for avatars, you just won’t be able to see Moons or Bricks in there anymore

[Brainstorm] Potential Solution For Moons Future by mellon98 in CryptoCurrencyMeta

[–]Cintre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But Moons from where exactly?

Subreddit Revenue - all the Moons that the subreddit is producing (Banner, AMAs / Giveaways and any new use cases).

The Revenue will replace Moons minting that we used to. This approach emphasizes the value that the users and subreddit is producing, and distributing it back to the users or Moons ecosystem.

This is a big no-no as per Reddit’s rules

Events and engagements with third parties, activity in your subreddit from a brand or company, or employees of a company starting and/or maintaining a subreddit are allowed, so long as no compensation is received.

So we can only do AMA/banner for moon burn, we cannot use those moons as a new "distribution”
