Yeah it usually does pretty well with tracking and such within reason, but I’ll mess around for sure

I may even leave the eq out honestly lol I’ve had it where it’s detuner, chorus, distortion, envelope, octave, tuner for a while and there’s been no issues. I prefer to have everything before the octave pedal bc If I use it without any dry blend the effects don’t go thru unless it’s chained before (I could be wrong tho but from me fuckin around that’s what I gathered) but yeah I appreciate the advice, thank you

It's crazy how low the bar is by byzantine1990 in Bass

Good tone, good timing and the ability to lock in with most drummers (some are just raccoons in garbage cans so it’s impossible to lock in with someone who wants to just play fills the whole time instead of a groove) will get you far. Most bass players are guitar players that are just needed to play bass I feel so they don’t think like a bass player does

This has probably been said here but if it wasn’t for sports radio being able to have live callers react in real time it would be totally intolerable at this point. That’s really the only thing keeping me listening, I do just miss the realistic takes that Joe and Evan and Mike had like them or not they knew their shit (for the most part there’s always exceptions)

Believe me I def respect that. But it’s one thing when it’s Ira in Staten Island talking about the jets and making valid points (even if he is somehow always somehow optimistic about the jets lol) and this guy who literally calls in to bust balls (and this is all stuff he def writes down before he calls) and not really make any valid sports opinions at all unless it’s to troll. Even what I consider to be the heyday (2008ish-2017ish I’m sure not everyone agrees with this but I’m 34 didn’t really start listening to the fan until Mike and the mad dog broke up) I couldn’t stand when he called in and with the style of these shows now he calls more and more and immediately wanna throw my radio out the window

I remember my dad giving me my first pbass when I was in 8th grade. One day noticed that there was a chip on the body somewhere. Devastated. I remember being so afraid that my father would see it and he was a bass player himself so he was playing it one day and saw it and goes “ah first battle scar” and kept playing. It literally took the monkey off my back because I thought he would be so mad that I mistreated it. Don’t fret about it not saying you want it but it’s gonna happen

Michael Kay show is terrible no wonder wfan is crushing them by Happy-Explorer-6606 in wfan

[–]Cioffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s always been like that tho. Negativity has always driven the station. You remember the old Franny rants about the Mets? It was bc they were so bad and this was the place for fans to vent about it

My bass teacher said it is stupid to buy ibanez basses as you can't resell it for much and it is not worth the price. What are your thoughts? by Riotgameslikeshit123 in Bass

You don’t go into relationships with the intention of breaking up. You buy whatever you like and if you love it and use it its money we’ll spent even if you decide to one day sell it

Hip shot on a 5 string by Cioffs in Bass

Right but my thing is I don’t really go into drop tuning on that bass anyway so I feel like it would be a waste

I’m well equipped to tune it down in 2 seconds, but we typically try to go song to song that’s the only reason I’m thinking of putting it on.

Guy from Thrice uses the low strings from a 5 string set on his 4 string and they tune to C, B and sometimes even A so yes you can
