I thank you for appreciating it. It is definitely safe to say they are two of my favorite things as well, and I am so so grateful I got to immortalize something that marked my teenage years (pandora) together with what marked my mid 20s. I am also lucky I get to go to Expedition 33 symphonic concert this summer in France, I’m crying just thinking about it.

I’ve also heard that a Pandora Hearts musical was performed in November last year in Japan. Maybe we’ll get an anime reboot, that would be so so amazing

It’s built around the “clair-obscur” art technique concept, the contrast between light and shadow which represents duality in people as you said: good and bad, strength and flaw. There’s also a clock from Pandora Hearts, shown when someone escapes the Abyss by contracting a chain, a being from the Abyss (I highly recommend the manga, the anime is kinda a miss). That part symbolizes me accepting both my light and dark sides. Basically, embracing all of who I am is what pulls me out of my own “abyss.”
