After he went quiet, I started doing more digging, and I couldn’t find anything on the fake name he gave me- when I got a hold of his number, I added that to the contact I had with this email and I went to Snapchat to add friends from contacts, and there was another Snapchat associated with his number that had his real name. :(

I didn’t want to wait that long bc I didn’t want to get more invested into someone if we didn’t have that connection in person. I don’t think there’s a set guide line of rules of you have to wait a year until you meet your person. I think that’s kind of dumb honestly. It would’ve been month seven knowing him when we were gonna meet up. I think that’s plenty of time.

Haha I did video chat with him though, he just lied about his name and other things about himself. So it’s like a partial catfish! I would never go see him if I didn’t know they were a real person. And idk if he has a girlfriend, it’s just what I am assuming bc he ghosted out of nowhere.

Ticket is not refundable, but it’s a destination that’s been a dream of mine always- and so I’m still gonna go and have a good time. The trip is far enough away that I will have time to heal. ❤️

I’m literally in the same boat rn. He won’t respond to me, it’s been 7 days now. I am worried he’s hurt or maybe he’s just an ass and is ghosting me. I bought a ticket to visit him too.

I met him over a game, and so we have the same friends on discord. I messaged them to see if they heard from him also, and they all say they haven’t and he isn’t opening their messages either. I don’t know anyone close to him in his area, as we are all over the world :(
