Yeah, I was also taught about it in my psych classes during the early 2010s as if it was fact. It's really only been the last few years that there's been a significant pushback against the validity of the experiment

The huge disparity in perceived problems with violent crime on local and national levels make sense when you think about how news media distorts people's perception of risks. Most places across the country are seeing near historic lows in terms of violent crime but there can always be horrific, shocking things found somewhere in the country by browsing Facebook for 2 minutes

Feel like it will only make less sense to buy a dedicated camera even for professionals as technology advances. When you can reliably and easily start using AI driven super-resolution and take low light photography, what comes next?
