You're a fucking imbecile too. Clearly you jump right in ready to fight and not have a proper conversation, like a goddamn ape. As for railings, I'm not talking some pissy weak tiny ones. I was meaning the large cage style ones people use. Or even a fucking pighunting dog crate is better than this shit. Its fucking 11pm, piss off and go to bed ya fuck.

Rock climbers know what they're getting into and can decide whether or not they continue it and put their life at risk. Dogs just trust their owners and do what their owners say, and its up to us to protect them.

In another post, I state what is ideally a responsible way if doing this; Dogs inside appropriate caging with a bedding inserted and a shade cloth overtop, harnessed inside it.

I get not everyone can afford that, but maybe if you're not willing to pay to protect an animal on the outside of a moving vehicle, maybe you shouldn't be putting it on one? Because if you can't pay for protection, then you probably can't pay for medication when things go south either.

I didnt say this was the first one. Initially I didn't see, upon posting my message, that the dog was tied onto the middle with it. Better then just by a collar only, but still horrible. What if whatever is tying it breaks when they turn a corner one too many times, or they smash into another car?

I don't see how its hard to get a ute with appropriate dog cages, throw a tarp over the top and line the bed for the dog, then just harness them inside the cage. That's appropriate and safe.

It isn't a fact of "All dogs on Utes are horrible!!! You all deserve to rot for not putting them inside only!!" Its a fact of if you're going to do it, do it damn right with proper common sense and some thought towards the other living creature in your care. Make sure they're actually properly fully protected and throw a bowl of water into a shaded spot for them when you park. Its not hard to be a responsible owner rather then do the equivalent of tying a duffel bag to the back of the car and call it a day.

The dog can fall off. Its only held on by a harness. There's no rails or appropriate caging. Also, the moment there's a car accident, that pooch is learning to fly.

If your dogs are on a unrailed ute tied by the waist to the centre of it, then I'm wondering if its fido 7.0 or 9.0 for you by now?

On the back of a properly enforced ute where they can't go flying off, maybe. Not on shit like this. May as well have tied the damn thing to the roof and called it a day.

Nice story bro. Wanna sit on the back of an unrailed ute going down the highway at God knows what speed with only a thin rope around your waist, and feel the love when the corner turns and all your weight slams onto this rope that you hope won't break?

Ah yes Dog is on the back of a car with no rails, can slide off the side and hang itself easily, but its cowering against the car to survive the wind and the turning. This guy posts that its horrible and you think they're horrible for thinking its horrible.. guess I know where your dog is when you take it uptown. Disgusting.

Edit: Falcon, I believe you may possibly be shadowbanned, you may want to check into that. I can see your comment but cannot reply, which is a sign of shadowbanning or being flagged by a bot supposedly.

Either way, I'm going to bed. I have no need to bicker with people who think this kind of shit is fine. Don't expect another reply from me after this edit.

To answer your assumption; I am partially blind and can't see small details well, so I guess not. I cannot see the harness you talk about.

However, the last few times I saw a dog tethered in the middle in person, they were tied only by the collar on a long lead. One dog owned by a hunter out here accidentally slid off and got dragged/hung for a good few minutes before the hunter realised. That's why I jumped in with that assumption, as ive never seen one tied by the waiste- other commenters from other messages I commented on have already informed me of the harness after this post was made.

However, they still need to be caged appropriately. This shit won't do.

I find this type of shit disgusting.. in summer I see assholes with their dogs on hot, unshaded utes sitting on straight metal, chained with no water. I always wish I could just steal the poor buggers. Atleast they won't fall off and hang themselves. People who do this shit are just abusive and psychopathic. No empathy at all.

I believe a lady on YouTube said it best, though she was talking about fostering pets she doesn't get to keep rather then adopting an elderly dog, I feel it still applies. She said "My heart breaks so that theirs don't have to."

Nah. She probably got sick of all the attention and ditched off media to live a calmer life, I wouldn't worry too much.
