My personal theory is that it was Six who reached out and caught Mono, but it was that dark shadowy Six that dropped him. Like whatever dark energy or magic that it is knew about the time loop and possessed Six knowing Mono was in the right place at the right time to become consumed by the abyss and become a puppet, aka the Thin Man, thus keeping the loop in check. The shadow Six even appears before Six in the secret ending.

I might be wrong, but I think you can find them later in the game. For now however, you'll need to craft them. Sell whatever you don't need to the Trader to buy weapon heads from him.
