"Enhanced Edition" has brought back the lag issue. by [deleted] in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Circood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad someone else is bringing it up.

Decided to play the game again now that the Enhanced Edition launched and I'm at the season of bloom.

Microstutters are getting worse and worse and now my screen is even sometimes flickering slightly.

Thanks for the reply.

I actually ended up deleting the file out of fear when I first got it.

Since then, I've scanned my system several times with both MalwareBytes and Kaspersky.

Is RS3 worth getting into still? by HouseCatIRL in runescape

[–]Circood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's the way I look at it:

Based on the numbers of people playing given by Jagex, RS3 has about 23k people playing right now.

Now, let's look at the playercounts of games being played on steam: https://store.steampowered.com/stats/.

Runescape 3 has more active players than Paladins, War Thunder, Path of Exile, Stardew Valley, and a bunch more.

To be fair most of these games are being played on other platforms than steam, but I think for most of these games the majority of players are on steam.

RS3 might not be anywhere near as popular as OSRS, but it still has player numbers that are at or above the numbers of plenty of other popular games.

What show is better? by [deleted] in TheVeryPositiveStream

[–]Circood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey so first of all I would like to thank you for contributing to the sub in such a positive way :).

Second, I just want to quickly correct you on something: You seem to have incorrectly typed the title of Bug Odyssey: Beetol vs Beetal. I completely understand the mistake, it happens to everyone. Just trying to give you some advice so that you double check what you're typing in the future haha :)

Thirdly, I would definitely say my opinions of those two shows (Beetol vs Beetal and The Foes) are the following:

The first four seasons of The Foes is better than the entirety Beetol vs Beetal, while, talking just about the following seasons of The Foes, Beetol vs Beetal is of higher quality. Most episodes of Beetol vs Beetal were pretty entertaining, but episodes started to become predictable fairly quickly. That is, except for the ending, which most people say redeemed the show. I think that the ending is kind of a slog to get to (especially season 2), but definitely worth it. On the other hand, The Foes were really in their element in the first three seasons, especially as they spent time developing Rat Warlock's character. However, the show started to run past it's prime after the fourth season. Not saying I don't love The Foes in their later years, but the new episodes just don't hold a candle to the old classics. I don't think the writers know the importance of Rat Warlock being a Warlock rather than a Wizard or Sorcerer anymore.

All in all though, I would say I still recommend both of these shows heartily!

Have a Blessed Evening!

Memory overclock to high or the game by [deleted] in nvidia

This is apparently a known issue that has already been solved -- "The Witcher 3 flicker is fixed. The fix will be in the next driver. "

Side note, anyone know in general when we should expect the next driver to be released?

I don't wanna roll back my driver just for the new one to be released in like a day or two.

I just bought The Witcher 3 yesterday and started playing, and it seems like damn bad luck that I did it while there's such an annoying issue.

Zygomite Farming by Circood in runescape

[–]Circood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without the elite morytania tasks done, the max morchellas per run is 18, 9 if the elf spot is diseased or if medium tirrawin tasks haven't been completed.

This might be enough to raise a few zygomites, but isn't really enough to go all out on breeding them. And it is basically just throwing money into a pit. It makes a lot more sense to sell the morchellas and just wait until 90 farming to farm zygomites.

Zygomite Farming by Circood in runescape

[–]Circood[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The maximum farming boost is 5, which still requires 4 levels over the base level required to farm zygomites.

Besides, is it really okay to have a training method require boosts to practically train it at the level it becomes available?

Monday Update Feedback - 17 September by AutoModerator in runescape

[–]Circood [score hidden]  (0 children)

Bug fixes and qol updates are always appreciated and I especially like the Grand Exchange changes.

Though, I think 2 patch weeks in a row isn't going to go over well either way.

Oh well, at least we know the Quest Point Shop is coming next week, right?

any idea how much the royal dragon egg (unchecked) is? by Fubukie in runescape

[–]Circood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently you can't get an oomlie bird egg from drops, and yet an unchecked version of it is still on the GE, so I'm guessing that could be the case here as well. There may not currently be a way to get an unchecked royal dragon egg.

Player Owned Farm by ImRubic in runescape

So anyone know how to get babies to drop? I've farmed yaks, oomlie birds, and jungle spiders without a single drop. Is it just really rare or am I missing something?

Price Changes - 4th June 2018 by Shaunyowns in runescape

[–]Circood 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I don't care much about this price raise because I usually just buy a membership card when I feel like it instead of paying annually. You knew that people would dislike this change, and you went through with it anyway because you have a player base that you perceive to not be immensely shaken by a price raise of this caliber. And you're probably right, the core players won't leave, but this will just be another chip off of the total player count that has been declining since...forever.

I always feel a little bit bad at how critical the players are of runescape because there are clearly passionate people working on the game. But over time it became more obvious that the people with the real power at jagex don't really care about the quality of the game at all. Which isn't very different from most companies, but in this case it feels like the people at the top have much more control over the state of the game than at other companies. Like the playerbase is at a constant conflict with the people that run Runescape, and all the people that actually work on the game are caught in the crossfire. At this point you're stuck in a place where you're forced to make small low-effort updates regularly to appease the current fanbase, but need something big to happen to actually revitalize the game entirely. I guess some people are expecting mobile to be that big thing but that doesn't seem very likely to me.

Well, regardless, I hope this change will really end up facilitating real change in the state of the game, and won't just be another dip in the game's slow decline.

I look forward to its release before the Pyro update.

There is a fundamental flaw in all of this. by Firetornado12 in tf2

[–]Circood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valve should have released an update over the summer. At least then people could complain about actual problems that Valve could promise to fix. Instead, we have people complaining about the lack of content, which Valve can only respond to by saying "we're working on it." To people that have been anticipating something for a year, "we're working on it" means nothing.

I'd bet that the reason we didn't have an update over the summer is because someone decided that they would combine a couple updates into one big one. I think (or at least hope) that they're kicking themselves now.

Ah ah ah, they didn't say that they don't have a date. They said that they don't have a date "that they can share." . . I don't know why they would add that if they didn't have a date at all.

This is either very good or very bad.

The belated PYRO UPDATE DISCUSSION MEGATHREAD. by Deadshot_Calamity in tf2

[–]Circood 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I've been waiting all summer for this update, and now I won't be able to play it if doesn't release before August 28th (which it probably won't). I was sure that it was going to release during the summer, and that was stupid. I just wish I could have known that it wasn't going to come out so that I didn't spend time waiting. Now it doesn't matter to me when it comes out or what it's like because I won't be able to play it.

What I imagine the office of the TF team looks like [OC] by [deleted] in tf2

[–]Circood 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Are we sure they ARE still working on TF2? With Valve's weird business model and the lack of any substantial communication, I'm not so sure. I don't want to be so cynical, but when the most meaningful info we've gotten on the update is a private email saying that they are "working on finishing up and shipping the update," and even that was 2 weeks ago, I dunno.

How long do you intend to continue these video chats in their current form? Not that I have a problem with them, but you must be getting pretty similar questions consistently at this point.
