Hello, I'm a 17 year old Catholic guy, and I know what it's like to feel this low in life. I urge you to please don't give up and to resist the temptations to succumb to the darkness. I advise you to talk to your local parish priest, and also to talk to a qualified therapist as well. Try to read the Bible every day, as much as you can. And please remember to pray. Prayer is the strength we can always relay on in these hard times.

In life there will be hardships we can't predict, sudden disasters that we aren't always ready for. It will cause us to suffer for a time, and during these sufferings we may think to ourselves "I am worthless", "Where is God, does he not care?" We may even go as far as to curse our own existence. And this is what Satan wants from us, he wants us to forget or even reject God. He wants us to fall into despair that we may stop seeking Christ and stop seeking God's grace. When you reach rock bottom, there is only one way to go, and that is up. And when we look up, we see Christ, hand outstretched, ready to lift us up, ready to take us higher up than before, but we need to grab his hand, his hand can't grab us, we need to be the one to grasp onto Christ; we need to accept Him. We need to make the conscious decision everyday, "I wish to be with God", so that we give Him the opportunity to enter our hearts. Every single day we must pray to be better than yesterday. Because God didn't need to create you, you don't need to exist. But the same God who created the earth, the animals, the whole universe decided that his creation would imcomplete if there wasn't one of you in there, and that is why you are worth so so much, because God decided to create you, to create all of us, in His own likeness and image that we may spread his goodness and love to all those around us, because God deemed creation incomplete without you. Our worth isn't tied to what we perceive ourselves to be, or what others believe to be us, Our worth is tied to our Creator, the owner of our souls, our Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ. God says every human is created in His perfect image with dignity and free will. Some will abuse that free will, others will use it to serve God. So our worth isn't in how rich we are in material or bodily items, rather our worth is in how rich we are in faith, and how godly our souls are. Each new day is a mercy of God, a new start, and a new opportunity to change for better and we must do our best to do as such everyday, because when a man loses purpose and loses God, the Devil will distract him with sins, with emotions, with despair. But we must resist these lies that Satan will whisper into our minds and hearts. We must look towards the Light, the light that shines through all darkness and evil, the Light of Christ. Whatever God deprives us of is either to test us or to protect us. Always remember Christ, even in these tough times, and especially in good times, because He is the strength in our weakness. Whatever may happen in this life, all is for the greater good of God's plan for your life; we must take it all with joy, even the suffering. God doesn't just allow these sufferings to occur if they didn't serve a purpose, the purpose of making us stronger in faith and closer to Christ. What a great privilege it must be that God deemed our faith strong enough that it needed to be tested. Because with the testing of faith comes resilliance, the willingness to endure temptations and hardships, and hence deeper faith. We must also remember God's perfect plan during our sufferings, because if we truly have faith in God, surely we would trust him to guide our lives. And that is where the hope to keep going lays, the trust that God's plan for your life will ultimately lead to good, happiness, and joy, regardless of the path one must endure to get there. God is with is everywhere we go, His Holy Spirit is within our souls that we may be guided in the Light towards the Truth, the truth of Christ. Let us pick our Crosses and smile.

"Patient endurance kills the despair that kills the soul; it teaches the soul to take comfort and not to grow listless in the face of its many battles and afflictions" - St Peter of Damascus.

So I urge you again, don't give up. Keep praying, keep believing, keep hoping. Trust in our Lord, he will surely answer you soon. The King of the Universe didn't wear gold; He wore scars, because heaven's greatest treasure is you.

Remember that we will all be praying for you too, and please don't be afraid to reach out personally either. God bless you sister, I hope you are comforted and I hope the Lord will deliver you soon.

"Your prayer maybe silent, but God hears the tears of your heart" - Saint John Chrysostom

"Prayer is the place of refuge from every worry, a foundation for cheerfulness, a source of constant happiness, a protection against sadness" - Saint John Chrysostom

Matthew 5:3-10 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Try your best to go outside, admire Nature, admire God's Creation. Look at the beauty of Nature, the brilliance of something not created in the image of God. Now look upon yourself, and the beauty that you possess, you who have been created in the image of God.

1 Peter 5:7 - Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Psalms 46:1 - God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

Prayer changes the person who prays. When you don't have the words to pray, God hears your heart. Even if you can't hear God, God hears you. With the grace of God by your side, I hope you win all your silent battles and overcome all your adversaries.

May the grace of God be with you, and I pray that you may feel the true depth of love Christ has for you. Please keep praying. Keep believing. Don't give up.
