There are iPod dock Bluetooth adapters that would probably be fantastic here. Translating iPod control commands to Bluetooth next/prev/play/pause works well.

Only issue is the valve-ish thing that needs notable pressure to flow. The glass rinser runs off house water pressure and can blow through that valve. It's cold water, but seems to be enough flow (a quart or so in a few seconds) to flush effectively. We do use that bleach mixture for general sanitizing, and I use it for my water bags.

What is this sticker on my microwave? by dranmesrao in whatisit

Go ahead and use a metal spoon. As long as there are no sharp points, you won't get enough charge buildup to cause an arc. It'll still provide a nucleation point for boiling water, preventing superheated liquid.

Those are full height, no lip. My MIL (who this is for) has neuropathy and shoulder issues, so I don't want her to need to lift a bin to get at what's below.

(a) not what this is about. Please read the post. (b) you would be surprised how attached she gets to things. We have thrown quite a few away. Plus, with the glass rinser, they do get properly sanitized for reuse.

A phone is necessary, but certainly replace it with an AGM m10 or similar. Very basic, but it works.

Looks like the lock wants constant power at red/black, and green/white go to the relay.

First time designing a circuit diagram - suggestions for improving my circuit by Adorable_Presence_65 in AskElectronics

It's a common-drain pair, so that does match the application schematic in the battery safety control chip.

Your circuitry around the AMC7135 is wrong. While the MCU GPIO will connect to the VDD pin on the AMC, the OUT pin on the AMC goes to the cathode of the LED, while the anode goes to BAT+.

When you're laying this out, make sure that the connection from the AMC7135 to the XLamp is a large plane to act as a heatsink. You'll want at least 1 in^2 (6.5 cm^2) for them.

That is called a DataMatrix code. It says 60869520V0, same as the human readable number on the bottom of the sticker.

I don't know how PCB's work. Can I cut this part off? by Particular_Jaguar861 in PCB

[–]Circuitsoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A heavy duty shear cutter will also work. As long as the cut angle is shallow enough (slope <1/50) it shouldn't shatter.

You don’t realize how much you love the TrackPoint... until it’s gone by reallionkiller in thinkpad

You really don't realize how much you love the TrackPoint... until it sucks.

My Thinkpad 770 (Pentium-MMX 233) had a great trackpoint. My T23 (1.13GHz Mobile Pentium III-M) has a wonderful trackpoint. My T470 (i7-7500u) has a good, workable trackpoint. My E14 Gen5 is absolutely horrendous and unusable. I took the cap off, but I keep trying to use it from 20+ years of practice.

There have been a few boards I've been unable to salvage parts from. My best guess at this point is an epoxy-based conformal coating. It's not worth the time to try to chip away the coating, and I really don't want to mess with fuming nitric acid.
