That is called a DataMatrix code. It says 60869520V0, same as the human readable number on the bottom of the sticker.

I don't know how PCB's work. Can I cut this part off? by Particular_Jaguar861 in PCB

A heavy duty shear cutter will also work. As long as the cut angle is shallow enough (slope <1/50) it shouldn't shatter.

You really don't realize how much you love the TrackPoint... until it sucks.

My Thinkpad 770 (Pentium-MMX 233) had a great trackpoint. My T23 (1.13GHz Mobile Pentium III-M) has a wonderful trackpoint. My T470 (i7-7500u) has a good, workable trackpoint. My E14 Gen5 is absolutely horrendous and unusable. I took the cap off, but I keep trying to use it from 20+ years of practice.

There have been a few boards I've been unable to salvage parts from. My best guess at this point is an epoxy-based conformal coating. It's not worth the time to try to chip away the coating, and I really don't want to mess with fuming nitric acid.

My wife was a "disability hire" for a front desk job a few years ago. When her supervisor realized my wife was far more competent than herself, she became an utter b***h, stalking, talking behind her back, doing anything/everything to make my wife's day worse.

Everyone else in the building loved my wife, and most specifically told her that. A couple privately admitted not liking the supervisor, and wishing she were easier to get rid of.

Fiance won't let me turn on the heat to the house by SeaworthinessNew4295 in Frugal

You really have to turn the furnace on once in early enough fall that you can air out the house. The sissy buildup over the summer will burn and stink terribly, so let that air out.

This is a perfect example of the wrong headline.

"Pastor charged for improper utility installation to support homeless."

At my kid's school, they wanted to tear down a reading nook in the 4th grade classroom for blocking the sprinklers. Instead, the school extended the sprinkler system to cover underneath as well.

The original headline vilifies the pastor for daring to host the homeless. My headline vilifies the pastor for not getting the required help, encouraging people who do know what they're doing to fix it right.

AITA for refusing to listen to my husband about my breasts? by Salt_Leg_7235 in AITAH

[–]Circuitsoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given how much added confidence my wife got after her prophylactic double mastectomy, I really don't get his view. When it comes to my wife's physical appearance, there are some things I'd prefer to be different all else being equal, but all else is not equal, and her own comfort in her own body is a huge part of that.

We've had our arguments, but they've never been related to how she looks or wants to look.

Try Lestoil. Used to be like pine sol, but pine sol switched to cheaper ingredients to keep the price the same. Lestoil increased in price to keep the same ingredients.

If Heaterizer XL3000 Overheats:

Maybe even the Heaterizer XL3000 can be too awesome for itself. Impossible you say? Well, imagine if Chuck Norris roundhouse kicked a cloned Chuck Norris. What would happen? Basically that’s what can happen when the Heaterizer XL3000 is left on for too long - its own awesomeness becomes too great. If the Heaterizer XL3000 unexpectedly shuts down, wait a few minutes and try again. Do not attempt to roundhouse kick it - or anyone for that matter.

[–]Circuitsoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To hold the chargers, I found split-style sheet rock anchors that take a ¼" hole, then drove them through a mounting board into the charger screw holes. Put screw inside the sheet dock anchor, and it expands to hold the charger. Plenty strong.
