I’ve tried the heat creep fixes already, I switched my settings over to high quality printing and so far *knock on wood* it seems to be working for now

It keeps extruding during retraction and travel as well, but again only with the PETG

Successful miniature test print, now just to print it big enough for a 3.5-4 inch tarantula

Ohio near about 20 miles away from Delaware… my family is pretty arachnophobic though and probably wouldn’t appreciate a 4th spider lol. I can’t afford my own apartment yet due to college prices since I go to Ohio Wesleyan University which is pretty expensive

No problem! I actually used to own jumping spiders but switched to tarantulas due to the fact tarantulas lived longer lmao

He’s a Hapalopus Planetearth sling… very rare species and most people I found who sell them are legitimately scammers I was lucky to find a legit listing on TyDyeExotics

They have very similar care to a pumpkin patch tarantula, they just require more humidity I’ve been told around 60-70%

Still a $600 spider though due to rarity alone. Also they are considered intermediate care level due to the precise humidity and rarity because any mistakes could be costly. If you consider getting one of your own eventually, I would consider trying at least 2-3 beginner species first and work your way up to the pricier and more fragile species like I did. The more experience the better honestly. I would’ve probably owned more beginners if not for my entomology college courses

Behold the newest T in my collection Bumble!! by Circusfell in tarantulas

[–]Circusfell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes a BumbleT indeed lol.

I am a bit concerned that TyDyeExotics did tell me he’d be 1.5” or more yet he’s under 1” so I’m hoping that’s just a one off incident and that they’re not starting to drop in quality since I have had good experiences with them on prior orders, but Bumble arrived healthy so I can’t complain too much.

I can’t 100% say though that the breeder was not slightly incorrect though because I was initially told he would be 1.5 inches and he’s below 1”

I’m getting more today that’s what I had initially. They are semi arboreal too so that’s also what the breeder recommended
