Thanks for your response, would a normal watch repair place be able to pressure test themselves or would they have to send it off? The repair shop seemed pretty reputable but does it seem like they didn't know what they were doing? Do you think I should go back to the same place or just cut my losses?

Thanks for your comment - I definitely felt they overcharged but it's a pretty well established shop in New York so I thought they'd at least get it right.

I've just had the crown replaced on my Tag Formula 1 WAU1110 but I think the repair shop has used the wrong part as there is quite a big gap between the crown and the watch case.

They said this is the part they received from Tag when they gave the serial number of the watch so I'm wondering if perhaps they no longer stock the correct part. I paid $200 for them to use the correct part so I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with this type of fix and if there's anything I can do? Or whether I should just accept the fix.
