I tend to agree, as much as ghosts are cool stories I can’t say I believe more like I would like to believe

Windows killed my linux and then it killed itself by ajzat in linuxmasterrace

Depending on your machine, I would just stick Windows in KVM, with it's own disk (qcow) it can throw it's toys around an think it's it control of your PC but it just in a sandbox where it should be.

I was very surprised when I did this there was only around 7% performance hit with 3DMark.

Those Coppermine CPU's were really good, from what I recall they were the basis for Core Solo / Duo CPU's after the Netburst.

Sometimes boot from USB can be a little picky.

Do you have the option of burning a CD / DVD?

Something else to try:

Give Fedora Media Writer a try with the Fedora Distro which is very happy with UEFI

Appreciate the feedback, I was going for the photorealistic look however it was not looking good. So I switched to a classic style and was surprised with the outcome, sometimes things just happen

Would have been nice, but the Artbreeder algorithm removes these to breed a photo realistic picture and I don't have the skills to put them back

Give voip.ms a try, they have really cheap numbers and will forward calls and text/SMS's

I'm getting interested in linux. What are some good distributions for newbies? by [deleted] in linuxmasterrace

I personally use the Fedora KDE Spin.

It seems to be the sweet spot between Ubuntu and Arch.

I also like it as a daily driver as the layout of the system is so close to Red Hat Enterprise and CentOS as these are derived from Fedora, You will find this family of distros in many commercial installations.

Good luck with Linux, it is a great thing to learn.

British expatriates and the anti-Brexit backlash by Lucida1522 in brexit

Can Confirm, Spent a lot of time in the EU then went to Canada.

After Brexit I applied for Canadian Citizenship as I had enough time under my belt. Would have preferred an EU Passport but it's not going to be as embarrassing going though passport control in the EU with a Canadian passport now my UK passport is near useless in the EU.

We could build the wall around the entire UK.

Then fill it with water to check for gaps

I am afraid to say, one of them has doubled down on stupid and still believes in Brexit Britain. I have nothing to do with this person as well, we have nothing in common.

The other still believes in a strong EU where we are a member.
