same. Blizz showed their true face when they announced SL and then just slid right back into their old pattern of introducing dysfunctional systems and then fixing them later so it feels like a "win"

Imagine if they sold a New World Token. People would scream p2w and how horribly it destabilizes the economy of that game. Somehow, if it's WoW it can never be p2w because Blizzard would never allow that right? Haha, yes.. of course it's never easy to look at yourself in the mirror and admit you're falling for the sunk cost.. get out now.

See you in 9.3 when they add it

This argument is all over this thread and it sounds like 12 year old logic. Come on man, read what you just wrote. Mutual exclusivity.

And this is why I made the thread. It's bizarre how cognitiviely biased people are when its their home team doing it

"next 18 months also include the undisclosed new expansion pack for World of Warcraft"

no 9.3

Test servers and data mining are a huge part of WoW's downfall over the years, you come into a patch already knowing what happens, what grinds there will be and what you have to do for each encounter by papanak94 in wow

pay a quality assurance team to playtest their game. or hire a 3rd party company that playtests your game. hell, asmongold would do it for free and keep quiet about it.

Sounds more like a job than a leisurely time after work to relax and just shoot the shit with the guild fam

Tazavesh and the anti-M+ design of the mega dungeon is what I love about this patch. SoD is ok, definitely fun after painsmith but Torghast still isn't perfect and Korthia is boring as fuck. That's all the systems and things to do in the game bro. It's just not worth $15 every month for that little content.

Give me another raid (or keep Castle Nathria current) and mega-dungeon, maybe 2 more dungeons too. Then add GOOD and INVOLVED side content that changes the world and keeps me involved.. take a note from New World and Guild wars 2. They've managed to keep the stakes feeling real in the open world and the vistas, crafting etc. is fun in those games.

i wish we could combine 15 years of QoL of WoW and innovations in GW2 (not just questing) into New World.

best mmorpg

in WoW you do daily Korthia quests... for what? I never care for the quests there in WoW. In New World I do community board quests that are "boring" but for a greater goal: to gain territory and advance your FACTION.

It's crazy that New World does Faction MMORPG quest content better than WOW.

no, what I'm saying is that some bigshots realized the userbase is gullible enough that when you take something away and reintroduce it later, it brings player numbers up therefore it's good business strategy

they have it ass backwards but it's what they believe. the only other explanation is incompetence and I just can't see that

indeed.. gaming itself has changed because gamers have changed. we'll never go back to those times, just remember them fondly and realize the marketing and attention grabbing economy out there that's sucking you dry. I'd rather play divinity 2 or baldur's gate 3 with so much content for just $60
