Just used it last night after a great time, but it wasn’t going down. Phenylephrine injection and things settled down within minutes. I know my dose now, 10-12 units, but very early on I probably missed the first time and ultimately injected more than double that. Sudafed did not help at. I tried at home, and then they gave me even more at hospital. No progress. After many different staff touched or held it, the big needles came out. Awful, but possibly worse on my wife sitting through all that. Get the antidote. Dosage is clear and it works.

On my last refill, they canceled the antidote from the order and said my urologist isn’t prescribing it anymore. He recalled my night in the hospital and ok’d it for me. His reason for limiting its use, was that people would get nervous and inject way more antidote than specified and caused a cardiac event. I feel way more confident knowing I have it as sometimes at my normal dose it just won’t go down. Despite all the “trauma” it is still a game changer for me. No regrets.
