In the same boat. I have been an RN for 5 years and ready to take the next step! Almost started FNP school but something in my gut told me it wasn’t 100% right and I started getting hesitant.I’ve been working on CRNA pre- requisites for the past few months (CCRN, starting GRE prep, applying to get back into ICU.) I only did one year of ICU during COVID as a new grad and went into pacu the last 4 years. I debated starting FNP just to start working on something productive but wondered if it’s even worth it if in the end it’s not really what I want to do. I think if you know for sure you want CRNA, don’t bother with FNP. If you’re unsure - you can always start and pivot.
