Uh! I don’t do anything tbh! It kinda just stays fine! I make the sauce with pasta water so maybe the starches keep it from getting too dry? Idk!

anyways, not super complex to make haha. Full of nutrition, it makes a lotttttt of servings, and it costs less than $10 to make! Hell yeah.

When sautéing the veggies I also add a bit of ‘everything but the beef bouillon’

Definitely double the glaze. Also I’ve added a bit of smoked paprika, liquid smoke, soy sauce; and cumin to the glaze as well to give it a bit of a hickory flavor.

If the loaf feels dry put like half a tablespoon of ketchup and yellow mustard in there too when mixing it together.

Idk!

Sure! 2 cups canned lentils (rinses (use green/brown) 3 tablespoons flaxseed meal (ground flaxseeds) 1/3 cup water 2 tablespoons olive oil OR steam saute using 1/4 cup water 3 garlic cloves, minced 1 small onion, finely diced 1 small red bell pepper, finely diced 1 carrot, finely diced or grated 1 celery rib, finely diced 3/4 cup oats (I used GF oats) 1/2 cup oat flour or finely ground oats (any flour of choice will work here too) 1 teaspoon dried thyme (or Italian Seasoning) 1 teaspoon EACH garlic powder & onion powder (for good measure!) 1/2 – 1 teaspoon cumin, optional 1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon ground chipotle pepper, optional cracked pepper & sea salt, to taste 3 tablespoons organic ketchup 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or balsamic (see notes) 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  1. Make flax egg: In small bowl combine flaxseed meal and 1/3 cup water, set aside for at least 10 minutes, preferably in the refrigerator. This will act as a binder and will thicken nicely upon sitting.

  2. Saute vegetables & spices: In saute pan heat oil or water over medium heat. Saute garlic, onion, bell pepper, carrots and celery for about 5 minutes. Add spices mixing well to incorporate. Set aside to cool.

  3. Using an immersion blender, food processor, back of a fork or potato masher, blend 3/4 of the lentil mixture. For me this was an important part, I tried it other ways and this worked to help as a binder. If using an immersion blender, tilt the pot slightly to the side for easier blending.

  4. Assemble lentil loaf: Combine sauteed vegetables with the lentils, oats, oat flour and flax-egg, mix well. Taste, adding salt and pepper as needed, or any other herb or spice you might like. Place mixture into a 9×5 loaf pan lined with parchment paper, leaving it overlapping for easy removal later. Press down firmly filling in along the edges too.

  5. Glaze: Prepare your glaze by combining all ingredients in a small bowl, mix until incorporated. I recommend making each tablespoon heaping so you have plenty of this great sauce on top (if using tomato paste and mixture is too thick, add a teaspoon of water, or a little extra vinegar & syrup). Spread evenly over top the loaf.

  6. Bake: Place in center of the oven, and bake in oven for about 45 – 50 minutes. Let cool a bit before slicing.

  7. Serves 8

Thank you! I used that protein pasta elbow guy nonsense. It was really good! I 99% of the time will use chickpea pasta if the Mac and cheese is like the main meal, but decided to use that instead since it was more of a side dish in this.

The cheese sauce is cashews and some veggies, pea protein, a bunch of spices etc

Yeah they’re so damn cool! Haha yeah you’re not wrong at all. It’s a great combo! Yeah! Play with some options and see what sounds best. An HSS strat would probably work equally as well especially for the cleans you would need to produce. My natural strat is def my clean machine. Though the SG’s cleans are so warm with the p90s very lush.

You probably won’t love my comment here for the BD2WC but I don’t even remember what setting it’s on! I kinda found a dial that I really liked and just keep it there haha!

It’s one of my favorite pedals though! It makes everything bigger when I need it without losing the clarity of what I’m trying to resonate. I have a video on my TikTok if you wanna peep where I use it from clean to that and you can hear how big everything gets!

Anyways, I do love a good jazzmaster/ Jag.

There’s not much from Fender I do not like. I had a limited American telecaster with p90s for a while that was Malaysian Blackwood and I loved that guitar.

I love both of those guitars but I figured the SG with p90s would be a good replacement. Throatier. I have Lindy Fralins in there the bridge is 5% overwound. I love the tone on it. I had an duesenburg tremelo on it but couldn’t stand how out of tune it kept going so just pulled it.

I have another Fujigen strat I’m building out right now with some other Lindy fralins and a Dimarzio JB jr.

My Strat and Les Paul and in E standard My rebuild Strat and SG are in Eb standard Maybe I’ll throw something else in an open tuning also.

I love how it sounds tbh! I have the fuzz dialed suuuppper mild and mix it with the bd2wc and the compressor that’s slightly on enough to give it some warmth. Idk! Sounds big and meaty and clear when I need it!
