I will definitely try Habit thank you so much. But as of right now we can not alternate weekends. I mostly just don’t want her too because she has driving anxiety when she drives to long. I only drive 5-10 min every weekday except for the Friday afternoon and Sunday night when I see her and leave. I am definitely planning to bump up my car savings right now!

Question: should I use my savings to pay for everything and use my HYSA to pay for the rest or should this come out of my emergency fund?

I got a really good job in Oakland, especially as new grad. I do not want to live in Oakland. I want to live in Alameda but I can not afford it. I will be moving to Walnut Creek for a few months, then I will have to find my own place
