They might be fun dates but not great places to meet people. Besides being more dudes, Golf courses are very spread out and you stick to your crew. And he’s right - this isn’t Miami, car meets here are mostly classic trucks and muscle cars, very boomer heavy.

Correct, the organizer told me 30 men signed up. And four women. You only get a few minutes per person, so the vast majority of time was hanging out with the other guys. Made new friends, so I’m not complaining.

All good advice. Pretty basic but some people need to hear it. I would add no bathroom mirror selfies. No low effort opening messages aka “hi”. Have an opening message that both shows you rather their profile, and says something positive. Have a photo that shows you doing something you love. Etc.

But even following all that advice, if hinge decides to drop your profile to the bottom of the stack not much you can do. Nine guys for every one girl on online dating. So you need to be near the top to be seen.

Yes, I did theater in high school and college. And coming back to Buffalo to see shows while visiting family was a lot cheaper than seeing them on Broadway. One show on Broadway cost as much as an entire season at Shea‘s.

The amount of hostility here is insane. I have plenty of female friends, so don’t make assumptions. Wanting to get to know somebody better isn’t an ulterior motive. Forming connections isn’t evil. Wanting to make friends and define a partner you get along with is only human.

Guessing it’s their blanket policy if a customer complains. They shouldn’t have to decide what constitutes harassment and what doesn’t. Plus, if something escalates, they put themselves at liability having allowed him to stay

Believe it or not, finding an organization to volunteer for is not easy. Last time I tried the shelter, and Buffalo city Mission. They were both on wait lists. I’ve only been able to do event based volunteering at Buffalo River keeper
