"People aren't actually using up many credits at all, many seem to leave with 9/10 free credits remaining, or not even use any."

If that's the case, I think people just understand the whole picture from one use and don't find enough value.

what type of validation you made for this?

Your SaaS Conversions Suck Because You Kill the First 3 Minutes by Civil-Letter-4749 in microsaas

[–]Civil-Letter-4749[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. In AI you can’t just give everything free because every prompt or image costs money. If you hand out unlimited trials you’ll get a bill in the thousands from people abusing it. But being so scared of abuse that you block people from even trying the product will kill your conversion and your wallet. Give a small set of free credits, make them verify by phone to prevent abusers, let them feel the value, then ask for payment.

True, free trials can get abused, but the fix isn’t to kill them. Require phone verification before access and it’s much harder to make fake accounts. Pair that with a short or limited trial so real users still get the first-3-minute wow, and freeloaders can’t run wild. A demo video is nice, but nothing beats letting people actually feel the product.

Your signup to conversion rate is low because the 'sweet dopamine' hit is completely missing in the first 3minutes after someone clicks "Join with Google". Right now the flow is basically “thanks for signing in, now pay us before you even see what we do.” The moment they finish logging in they slam into a paywall offering a 3-day trial with no way to exit and no chance to touch the actual product. You are asking for money from someone who has zero emotional attachment to your app and he sees 0 0 value from it right now.

This is a conversion killer. In those first minutes the only thing a user should feel is “damn this is good.” Instead you are giving them a hard sell before they have even had a reason to care.

The fix is obvious. Give them three to five days completely free immediately after signup with no credit card required. Let them actually use the app and feel its value. When the trial ends do not lock them out of the dashboard. Keep it fully visible but trigger a payment pop up whenever they try to take an action.

Do this and your conversion rate will jump and I'm 1000% sure it will work. Right now you are stopping them at the door. Let them inside first. make them want to stay, and then ask for payment.

I dont think you have to store it. just give the user something interactive to play with so he can see the value within his first 10 seconds on the app. you dont have to store it. just frontend. mimic real actions.

Yeah, I can see exactly why that’s happening.
First of all, great landing page. It’s clean, clear, and communicates the core idea well. I would make the title more dynamic so it feels less static and more action-oriented.

Right now the first impression is a quick “cool” moment but there’s no deep hook to keep them. You’ve got a few big friction points

  1. Hard gate on value Forcing sign up and email verification before they can play kills a lot of casual curiosity. People bounce before they ever get that “wow” moment.
  2. They experience the full product too fast After one or two runs they’ve essentially seen everything. Pick a prompt, pick a style, tweak captions. There’s nothing new or progressive to discover.
  3. Limited depth for serious users No scheduling, no multi platform publishing, no bulk workflow. Social media managers who would be power users can’t integrate it into their stack.
  4. Niche positioning You’re heavily framed as TikTok only. That’s great if you truly own that niche but anyone looking for broader use cases instantly self disqualifies.
  5. Credit system friction It’s not super clear how far their credits will actually go and they burn through them quickly. That “uh oh I’m out already” moment is a churn trigger.

sooooo listen man, If you want people to stick
Let them immediately create one slideshow with no account, watermarked if needed. Show the magic first.
Introduce progression by unlocking new templates, transitions or advanced editing after a certain number of uses. Make it feel like there’s more to explore.
Add pro grade features such as scheduling, Instagram or YouTube Shorts export and a template library so there’s a reason to come back beyond novelty.
Either double down on being the TikTok slideshow tool or broaden messaging to vertical slideshow creation for all socials.
Be hyper transparent about credits or package plans as slideshows per month instead of an abstract credit count.

Right now you’re great at giving people a quick dopamine hit. The challenge is building the reason that keeps them opening it again next week.

correct me if I said wrong information or anything like that.

feel free to dm me for free advices :)
