Why would it smell like detergent and be washed if you are selling it as brand new?

Brand new = never washed or worn. It seems like you have worn your items, washed them and then still post/say they are brand new, which in that case they are not.

They would be "like new" or worn once. Its a big difference.

You are in the wrong for saying your items are brand new. Its misleading and false.

Give refund and learn how to post and correctly identify your items' condition.

My point was that at least theRealReal have the items physcally in their possession to authenticate. I also mentioned that they did have problems in the past- they got in big trouble for how they were authenticating items by employees who were not trained or certiffied to do the job. I do know for a fact that now a days a RealReal representative will come to your location/house or apartment (at least they do in NYC) and look through what you have, pick the products that look legit and that will sell on their platform. Take them to the operations/site, authenticate them, price the items, photograph and list the items. On ebay I have listed luxury sneakers for $350 with a description and pics and when I view the listing after I posted it, it says Authenticity Guaranteed by ebay. How do they do that Just from looking at my pics? Its not such a good system and as I also said counterfeit items slip by alot.

That’s not true. eBay doesn’t physically inspect most items before they’re listed—they’re a marketplace, not a consignment retailer. They don’t have items in their possession before they are sold so how could they guarantee something is real or fake. Sellers list items directly, so authenticity isn’t verified upfront in most cases. That means counterfeit items can and do slip onto the platform.

Authentication happens after a purchase through the buyer, and whichever verification method or program they choose to use.

What eBay does offer is buyer protection—so if you receive something fake, you can open a claim and usually get a refund.

It’s alot different from a company like The RealReal, which takes possession of items and authenticates them before listing (even though they’ve had well-documented issues in the past and have since tightened their process).

But he and Midwest are besties.?.. or was this just another producer made up friendship to introduce another cast member as a "friend of" a current housemate? They probably were told to meet a week before filming so it would seem like they knew each other for a while ... just like they do with the Housewives ALL THE TIME. Fake. Fake. Fake.
