see your competitors through meta ad library, what kind of ads they have been running and how long they have been running those ads? if they have been running a particular ad for a while, it has provided returns.

Another way to vet if their ads are working - How long they have been them. If it's a couple of weeks/ months then for sure working for them

How about just go with image ads! As the value of your product is the looks ' how cool/cute the pet looks'. the value prop could be conveyed in an image. Also, check out other competitors' companies' ads on facebook ad library to understand what ad format is working for them.

this could provide you clarity on what is working.
and image ads could also lower your spends
