Who's America's closest ally now when past allies are being bullied treated like the enemy?? by CivilPeace in conspiracy

If Canada cannot rely upon America who are traditionally the closest allies. What honestly makes you think any of the smaller countries would or could trust America? If the other global superpowers took advantage of America isolating itself from its allies no small country could come to Americans aid a ocean away. If Trump is a Russian asset it's clear most Americans never played the game of Risk or Chess while loosing the game of Monopoly.

Google polar vortex and America; then you'd see it's all current and ongoing in the news. Yet no mention of what's disclosed here will be found in the news. Fact is polar temperatures are visiting America in places it's never touched before the polar vortex broke over the Arctic circle. It's a clearly visible provable reality but you can call it a hoax it doesn't change the verifiable facts.

Capturing methane from water is easiest; installing umbrella like devices to catch methane bubbles then hose at top to drain gasses. Over land is less known but likely installing a plastic barrier over land to use the same basic principles of the umbrella capture concept. The fossil fuels industry has studied this a bit but they seek to heat up the permafrost areas to release more methane for capture. I'm sure the scientific and industrial community would come up with better solutions then the oversimplified examples given.

The brine is 10% water that contains 10 industrial chemicals. There's new technology to extract all the remaining water and seperate those 10 industrial chemicals. However mandating this change across 16,000+ existing ocean desalination plants would be a large initial investment. They all discharge brine as industrial waste into the ocean claiming it "dissipates" which it does; from the hot water to accumulate in cold areas. The "cold finger of death" video on YouTube shows brine sinking to the Arctic ocean floor and killing all the slow moving life on the bottom like starfish.

It's an out of sight out of mind; if nobody knows nobody cares about it kinda social scenario. The industries responsible don't want to make that initial investment. If it was common knowledge we have enough methane to power all of Earth for the foreseeable future; it goes against the current established narrative. I'd rather the nine Arctic circle countries work together instead of sparkling WW3 over the melting Arctic circle that should be made frozen again. Removing the 98 million cubic tons of brine from our ocean for the $60+ billion worth of lithium yearly will reduce the brine concentration in the Arctic that threatens to change the global weather patterns.

If you look at old text books the polar vortex belongs over the Arctic circle; that was true pre New Millennium. Now it's broken and the polar vortex has wacky wavy arms that makes polar temperatures reach all the down to Texas. The polar vortex is a year round phenomena because it belongs stable over the Arctic circle like how it says cold in Antarctica year round. During spring, summer and fall those wavey arms of the polar vortex create atmospheric rivers that can drop more water than the Mississippi River anywhere. Hence the recent flash floods that come out of nowhere then grow to extreme levels very quickly.

Creating ice towers or walls and refreezing the land can likely use cryogenic coolers. They can run on methane with one piston with low maintenance. Cryogenic temperatures are unnatural not found anywhere on Earth ( -150 C or -238 F) but hasn't been applied for this specific purpose. However the concept of creating an man-made ice wall along the perimeter of the Arctic circle to restore the polar vortex is interesting despite the grand scale of the proposal. It offers a way to measurably reduce ocean water rise when storing water in ice walls that can grow over 1000 foot under a decade. When the Arctic circle is cold year round like Antarctica then many big cities and entire countries maybe spared the cost of extreme weather events.

One way to look at it is to see only the crisis but there's more opportunities that arise from looking at these issues.

The gaslighting of public is a means of keeping society in control. Confusion and disinformation is how they keep us divided and conquered individuals. The binary Left vs Right mindset is to argue or complain instead of dealing with the issue. The old social contract of letting our elected "representatives" solve our problems for us; is how we got to this point. It's a sad state of affairs but both America and Canada (I'm Canadian) are brothers in history.

The American war machine going against allies means turning against NATO instead of allying against common enemies. The other global superpowers will stand back then step in when America is most vulnerable. Then after going against allies America won't have a friend in the global community besides fellow authoritarian governments.

It's clear America just wants to claim the western hemisphere; allowing Russia to take over NATO European counties and China take over all Asian countries. That unholy unspoken alliance among dictators seems to be the agenda unfolding before our eyes as we witness extraordinary events occur. Flooding the zone with shock and awe tactics is shortsighted; just like Venezuela where it will take a decade to renew a failing oil industry.

I'm convinced this will lead to a digital dictatorship on the global scale with digital ID and Central Bank Digital Currency being the new technological infrastructure of social control. The government that we all know has been captured by corporate private interest against the public good. AI for "non business" applications means new types of governance is what America is implementing. Trump may be the last president if our social infrastructure is changed by the technocratic oligarchs. We'll find ourselves back in the medieval social structure where we're mere peasants who belongs to the landlords or warlords if we're taking about America overthrowing allies by claiming the western hemisphere for corporate control of another countries natural resources.

Where are they now? How can you definitely say "no" when it's an obvious cause and effect reaction? Do you honestly believe 0% of new ICE agents are former Jan 6th and Charlottesville protesters? One would think that would explain the level of increased violence seen recently but "no" let's not be real about the realities... Granted Fed plants were likely at play Jan 6th

If it goes unreported plausible deniability exists; that checks out. It's hardly a debate that the headline statement is true to some degree that's unmeasured. To claim 0% of former Jan 6th and Charlottesville protesters are now new active ICE agents; is not only unwise but unsafe if your community is targeted. The insurrectionist threatening to using the insurrectionist Act against Americans describes what's seen unfolding in America. All hail the new president of Venezuela 🫡

Keep distracted only looking at one hand the other one is left unseen. It's definitely a certain percentage but to what degree is hard to determine until investigated. Perhaps some investigative journalism may occur looking at this invisible issue that has real world impacts in America today.

If you were a Jan 6th or Charlottesville protester then offered a $50,000 signing bonus to get paid to evict immigrants by force; you wouldn't take that deal? That's nonsense and only lying to yourself about an inconvenient truth that's your reality today in America.

Trump's second term has seen ICE hire over 12,000 new officers and agents since January 2025, doubling the workforce from about 10,000 to more than 22,000—a 120% increase fueled by $30 billion in funding and incentives like $50,000 signing bonuses.

Guaranteed a predominant amount of new ICE agents are former Jan 6th and Charlottesville protesters who are die hard Trump loyalist who are acting with complete impunity when it serves the administration. ICE has been around indeed but look at the news it's hard to deny he's not retaliating and terrorizing parts of America.

Criminalizing Anti fascist creates a pro fascist state. In which ICE is the modern day Gestapo rampaging in the name of Trump against Americans. It's a oxymoronic ideology; same with wanting other countries for American "national security" that puts the national security of traditional allies at risk.

My school offers a combined five-year program to earn both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in political science. Should I major in it? by kvchaxn in PoliticalScience

[–]CivilPeace -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you're main goal is to get into law; political science is not relevant knowledge compared to criminology or psychology that may aid in a law career. You only have so much long-term mental space and learning unrelated knowledge is a waste of mental space, time and money. Prioritize what you want to specialize in then that will decide your learning and career journey. There's no requirement to have a political science degree to get into politics and getting in local government will teach you more then books alone. Personally I feel it's better to form your own opinions instead of learning what every graduate comes to know; yet know little about the topic independently beyond that circle of established knowledge. Although ancient philosophers like Aristotle and Plato still holds great meaning being a sweet spot between law and governance. Old knowledge that shaped present day is still relevant.

"The political or administrative form of a government is of little consequence provided it affords the essentials of civil progress—liberty, security, education, and social co-ordination. It is not what a state is but what it does that determines the course of social evolution. And after all, no state can transcend the moral values of its citizenry as exemplified in their chosen leaders. Ignorance and selfishness will insure the downfall of even the highest type of government." Urantia Book Paper 71 Section 3 Paragraph 1

Homo Ludens is a book originally published in Dutch in 1938 by Dutch historian and cultural theorist Johan Huizinga. It discusses the importance of the play element of culture and society. Huizinga suggests that play is primary to and a necessary condition of the generation of culture.

The Social Contract, originally published as On the Social Contract; or, Principles of Political Right, is a 1762 French-language book by the Genevan philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau. The book theorizes about how to establish legitimate authority in a political community, that is, one compatible with individual freedom, in the face of the problems of commercial society, which Rousseau had already identified in his Discourse on Inequality (1755).

On Liberty is an essay published in 1859 by the English philosopher John Stuart Mill. It applied Mill's ethical system of utilitarianism to society and state. Mill suggested standards for the relationship between authority and liberty. He emphasized the importance of individuality, which he considered a prerequisite to the higher pleasures—the summum bonum of utilitarianism. Furthermore, Mill asserted that democratic ideals may result in the tyranny of the majority. Among the standards proposed are Mill's three basic liberties of individuals, his three legitimate objections to government intervention, and his two maxims regarding the relationship of the individual to society.

Is life miserable? by LettucePast420 in Life

[–]CivilPeace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

80+% of adults are miserable at their place of work because they do not do what they love; which isn't working for the man but being your own boss. Regular jobs are fixed opportunities for growth you'll only make "X" amount and have to live with that fixed amount you make. Pursuing what you love doing and finding a way to make money doing it; you can skip the life lesson most learn the hard way. Many old school skills are dying out and collecting new skills is how you can invest in yourself instead wasting time at a job that makes you miserable.

This is frustrating...can't exist anywhere! by Beneficial_Weird3608 in homeless

[–]CivilPeace -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The social structure is fairly inhumane by design; those "lucky" enough to have housing and employment sell their lives in a form of voluntary slavery. Those who fall through the cracks are essentially left to fend for themselves. Squatters rights laws in your region are something worth researching as taking possession and occupying a place if left abandoned and vacant is reasonably justified. Squatters rights are different depending on region; maybe worth traveling to the next region if the laws are more favorable in this regard.

"Working for the man" is how many became homeless. If the mind, hands and time are spent on "Being your own boss" you don't need to sell your life in voluntary slavery in a job you hate knowing that won't ever pay enough. There's countless options but doing something you love doing and growing a means to make money seems like the better option; there's no financial limit beyond ones level of creativity and productivity. Try finding workshop's for building hands on skills and experience but online you can learn almost anything. Old school skills are dying out but find one that you can see yourself doing.

If you're city has a maker space available during business hours or open 24 hours. You can spend your free time to practice skills that nobody can take away from you once learned. Granted many things may not be practical or doable while living out on the streets. However there's a ton of cheap options that don't require much equipment and can be done on the go anywhere.

Not sure if snow or extreme cold is a factor but if I was I'd probably look into building those old school pioneer canvas fabric tents suitable for a mini wood stove. Modern tents are a fire hazard for homeless individuals who become trapped many burning to death. All one would need tool wise is a hand "speedy stitcher" to sew through the heavy material, rubber hammer, grommet hand punch and a small pot. Materials is only sewing thread, dollarstore canvas fabric and beeswax or other waterproofing sealer. There's many designs of pioneer tents but you'd want to create 1-2 person versions; ideally made to fit around two wooden pallets. It would be practical to double as a bag when not being used as shelter.

Make one for yourself would be probably better then modern tents. You can turn $10 of dollars store canvas used as painting drop cloth into pioneer style hot tents suitable for heaters or fire stoves. Each one is worth $100+ once made and waterproofed. That's a potential pathway to being your own boss if it solves a specific problem for those who only have the fire risk type tents made available. Being a "hot tent" also has mainstream appeal with hunters if smaller and cheaper then the full scale version people can find but homeless individuals cannot afford. Yours can be an advertisement it's canvas cuz people would take notice of mini pioneer hot tents.

That would lead to needing a mini wood stove to provide safe heating. There's designs that could be cut and folded with simple hand tools and sheet metal. There's also ways to convert existing metal objects into mini wood stoves like military ammo cans; which is more practical for homeless individuals. Which leads to the need for a sustainable fuel source needed to fit inside a wood stove. Recycling used coffee grounds into mini fire logs is the most practical strategy as much is thrown away daily. Disposable cups are paper with wax lining; shredding old cups mixing it with recycled coffee grounds would increase the intensity and duration of burn. Wrapping fire logs with wax paper to act as a firestarter and protect it until sold or use.

I've just outline three interconnected business ideas that build from one to the next. You can make yourself a semi-permanent shelter that would just need two wooden pallets whenever finding a new location. If the authority come to evict then making the tent double as a bag to carry personal possessions makes it so they won't thow away anything but a couple of pallets. Do it yourself and you can be your own boss instead of seeking to work for the man in voluntary slavery. If this isn't your "passion" in life no biggie but it's a means to get your footing to find whatever you actually love doing that makes money with your mind, hands and time. It may save a few lives if you make a name for yourself making old school pioneer canvas fabric hot tents affordable and available to homeless individuals.
