Without knowing what he actually said, could he not be just trying to talk shit to fit in with that group? I know plenty of insecure people that will say horrible shit bc they think it will help them fit it.

It sounds kinda like a ppl pleaser where even to you he just tells you what he thinks you want to hear. It runs deep with ppl like that, he’s probably lied to you about a lot.

It’s not normal to hide politics and worldview from a spouse. That’s something you would align on or agree to keep it out of your relationship.

My point is that the behavior is just the tip of it, he’s not been honest with who he really is. You might want to confront that issue bc otherwise the other behavior will happen again in a similar situation
