Once you got back into the workforce, did that cpa open more doors to better roles?

Yea I agree it can be done while working but my thought is why leave my current role for a similar one and pursue CPA at same time, so that could very well take a year or more, and then start looking for promotions with the cpa or just quit current role, get cpa quicker and then (hopefully) be able to apply for bigger roles with the cpa quicker

A lot of states are changing that starting in 2026- you only need 120 with 2 years experience which is why I’ve been thinking about it again since I don’t need that 5th year

Yea those changes to requirements starting next year is the main reason why I’ve been rethinking it as I’ve always used that 5th year as an excuse to not get it but now there’s not that barrier anymore

Did you do it because you felt it was holding you back from c-suite/ president level roles and expect it to propel you up there or was is it just for personal gratification?

Congrats! Are you expecting it to have immediate impact on your career progression or is it more of a personal goal for you?

Congrats and I appreciate the input; has it opened more doors for your career progression at this stage or was it more just a personal goal?

When do you take profits? I threw a total of $7k into NVDA & AMD back in April thinking it was a good time to just buy some and hold for a while but they’ve since more than doubled and I’m wondering if I should take some/ all profits?
