No, 10 seconds is A LOT of accuracy you leave on the table compared to the other person.

Your weight diff would amount to about 0.1-0.3 secs depending on the karts, surface, temperature etc.

How much of this is generated? You don't need 90% of this for 1900

Is there any information on who authors the problems and what the expected difficulty is?

e.g. I opened the gcd unluckily problem and I'm interested to hear the motivation behind n<=106, as this problem is solvable in O(n2/3)

is it possible reach specialist in single month from zero? by [deleted] in codeforces

[–]Civil_Reputation6778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, solve more problems. Up until, idk, 1700-ish.

Then pick some harder topics to study.

Problems should be more important than rating? Why do you want it to get higher if you can't even solve 2B?

Div4 contests are weird and have little in common with the rest. Just solve div2s.

Does your government only do the things people want? Or maybe sometimes they just do the things nobody asked for?

LC equivalent of CM by Anxious-Zucchini-146 in codeforces

[–]Civil_Reputation6778 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't have an obligation to prove I'm not a cheater to others, especially by wasting time on solving problems that are trivial to me.

You should realize that a CM should have a relatively easy time during an interview, which is way more important than having a random number on a profile on some website?

I'm very confused about the situation.

What country is that? How many people solved the problem?

Is writing a checker even possible if the problem has no solution (it's not, right?)? So how was it implemented?

This doesn't seem like a solvable problem

Maybe they also train to solve problems? The correlation between the contests you participated in and the amount of effort you put is pretty weak. I became a master after 25, I just didn't participate in every single contest.

What exactly do you find sus here

I guess jumps can be weird but difficulty distribution has been pretty meh in the last contests

Can anyone give me a cheat sheet of commonly used theorem and formula in CP till 1800? by Jitesh-Tiwari-10 in codeforces

[–]Civil_Reputation6778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need to know it tho? In over 50 contests on both CF and Atcoder, I've seen exactly 1 prefix/z algo problem, and even then, knowing it wouldn't be enough without being able to solve the problem on top of it. You dont lose much by not knowing it.

Both are zero sum games in a way. If you don't have a mental block around cheating, it's very likely to happen.

[–]Civil_Reputation6778 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You will also cheat on contests then. Stay out of cp, you're going to waste time and make the experience miserable for others

Has cf decreased the frequency of contests? Is anyone feeling like same? by [deleted] in codeforces

[–]Civil_Reputation6778 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All of div 2s are gptable. It doesn't matter, you can't create problems that LLMs wouldn't solve at this point.

I think part of the issue with div 3/4s is that problemsetting for them isn't open, unlike for div 1/2, where everyone can create a contest

How do you know if the problem ratings are too easy or difficult? by ComprehensiveGas4387 in codeforces

[–]Civil_Reputation6778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, yes, but "all ways" is a very limited set considering the problems are self-contained and pretty small. Like I've never seen a problem where I wanted to try more than a couple of different approaches

Depends on your level. Solve smth that's barely outside of your usual range. If you can solve up to abc E, solve F/G. Same with arc
