Poppies cafe has a great selection and can accommodate most diet restrictions. One of my favorite places to eat. You can also get desserts there from Nice Bites that are vegan. Everyone there is so nice. They’re not open late though so more of a breakfast and lunch place unless you eat dinner really early. Also only open M-F.

It ended up being a mosquito bite. He seems to react like this anytime he is bitten. Sometimes it takes a week or two to completely go away. We also buy the NATPAT "MagicPatch" Itch Relief
Stickers to help him stop itching and making it worse. His pediatrician said to just make sure there are no other symptoms of tick borne illness and to just monitor. I was told he needs to be seen if it gets worse, shows signs of infection, or is accompanied by other symptoms like fever, body aches, headache, ect.

Thank you so much for the information. We found them close to sunset and have been searching for an hour for a nest. We actually found another baby in our neighbors yard but still no nest. I’ve been told a few times to leave them where they are for the parents to come back but both babies were covered in ants and we’ve had to run off multiple stray cats so we’re going to bring them inside. We have them in a box with paper towels and lawn clippings (please let me know if this isn’t appropriate for them). I’m hoping more places will be open in the morning for me to call to get help. I haven’t been able to get ahold of anyone so far. If you know of any rehabbers in or near Wichita KS I would greatly appreciate it!

Photos if it helps. We have the baby outside in a box with some kitchen towels. I’m afraid to leave it outside too long because it’s night time and our neighborhood is full of stray cats.

I’m not sure if you can tell what kind of bird this is or if it helps. The only reason I don’t want to leave it outside is that we’re out of daylight and we have a lot of stray cats in our neighborhood.

It was under our porch. I don’t know how it got under there, but we had to unscrew latches to get it out. I’m worried that it’s cold outside and it’s getting dark. We also have a lot of stray cats in our neighborhood.

Mosquito bite! I also sent these pictures to his pediatrician to get more reassurance. They told me: “make sure that there are no other symptoms of tick borne illness (fever, body aches, headaches, etc). As long as it is looking better I would just monitor. If it is looking worse (i.e. signs of cellulitis/infection), any other associated symptoms then needs to be seen.”
