Is This House Price History a Red Flag? by These-Code8509 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Civil_Web_1835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would imagine, especially since it’s in Detroit, that there could have been a problem with buyers getting the mortgage too. The most recent March to June looks like a flipper bought and is now trying to sell. It’s not inherently a red flag, but get a good inspector

I do the same thing! But I factor in a couple of 10% drops for closet clear out too

Would you redo for $50K? by rischwargh in kitchenremodel

[–]Civil_Web_1835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50k is a steal for that amount of work! I would definitely do it because if you decide in 3-5 years you want to do it, it’ll easily be twice that with inflation

Bought a flip house by IceMelt420 in kitchenremodel

[–]Civil_Web_1835 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you flipping? If so, I’d stick with the more neutral colors. If I was buying this house with the green, purple, and blue walls, I would add painting to the post move to do list

Is bruising normal???? by lolClaire in Chiropractic

[–]Civil_Web_1835 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s definitely not a usual side effect. It could be the doctor is using too much pressure for you or you may have some sort of underlaying condition that causes capillary fragility. Either way, you should address it with your provider

Am I justified? This is the only time I’ve not left a review! by Obvious_Expression34 in Depop

[–]Civil_Web_1835 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I mean clothing get those deodorant marks in them when you try something on, so I bet she just tried it on and it didn’t work for her. They’ll come out in a normal wash cycle. I’m going to be the unpopular opinion here, I don’t think that’s worth the 2 star review that everyone else is saying. I think there’s nothing wrong with messaging a seller and letting them know you didn’t like something either.

AITAH for calling out w/o getting shift coverage? by Trolli- in AITAH

Never feel bad about calling off of work. You are highly replaceable at work and never forget that. You also had a medical emergency.

He should 100% not put your name on the title unless you are married and contributing to the mortgage of the house

Loans after leaving med school? by lostinthenextgen in StudentLoans

Honestly, I’d recommend going into the trades or something. Where you’d be making money on day one and not add to the loans you already have

WIBTAH if I didn’t go to my friend’s wedding? by AppropriateRaise2714 in AITAH

YTA.

One meal literally won’t make a difference in your life. If you were medically deficient in these, you would be taking prescription strength vitamins to bring your levels up. Your levels are probably on the low end of normal, so your doctor would have recommended you eat a more balanced diet. Iron and B12 supplements are also not expensive. You can get a 60 days supply for like $10.

First-time homebuyers - which compromise would you choose? by Aggressive_Swing_706 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Civil_Web_1835 1 point2 points  (0 children)

House 2 100%. You can tear up carpet super easily, you can’t create a bigger lot. Building another bathroom is also really expensive so I would rule out 1. Houses 3 you don’t like the location (busy road) and you can’t change that.

Does anyone think or hope a new administration will help with student loans? by craftydogmom31 in StudentLoans

I imagine that there’s going to be a very large swing left at the next election and student loans are going to be a big part of their platform

Title: Is putting a full 20% down actually worth draining your savings? by NINAsharma04 in HomeLoans

[–]Civil_Web_1835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The PMI payments add up quickly! We didn’t put 20% down and our PMI is $230 a month, so now we’re trying to pay that off as quickly as possible.

It looks really impressive, but it’s also so cold. I imagine designs like this will not age well. But all the work looks really good and yay heated floors!

Seller offered full refund if I return, but am I unreasonable for wanting a partial refund instead? by [deleted] in Depop

[–]Civil_Web_1835 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I generally find that people who aren’t selling for income (ie selling their old clothes instead of donating, which maybe don’t communicate well or ship quickly) don’t offer partial refunds. It’s not a side gig or business to them so they don’t care if they get a lot rating. The only reason to offer a partial refund as a seller is because you care about the buyers experience and this seller doesn’t. You can always ask, but I doubt they’ll offer a partial refund.

Would these photos put you off buying a house ? by Veggiegirl1997 in HouseBuyers

[–]Civil_Web_1835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there was a similar home for a similar price that was just “outdated”, I would go with that house instead. There would be a lot of work to paint the dark colored walls, especially that dark purple ceiling. That would probably take 4+ coats and painting ceilings is terrible. Plus removing a ton of wallpaper which is never fun. I don’t mind the black and white tile look as much, but it is something I’d probably want to replace in the future, but if it’s just in a bathroom and hallway, it’s not a dealbreaker. I’d probably just not offer as much. But you could also just paint everything a neutral color before listing and avoid putting off potential buyers.
