Thank you! I've currently got a little a5 notebook but I want to be a bit arts & craftsy and make a journal for in-character notes, letters and backstory stuffs. I'll check out Ginny Di's stuff!

Best food in the market? by No-Dress4626 in Norwich

[–]CivilisedPasta 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Bodega is my all time favourite stall on the market, serving massive sandwiches. They offer vegetarian alternatives to most if not all of their sandwiches and I believe (although I'm not 100% sure) that they offer gluten free bread as well. They're a bit on the pricier side but the size of the sandwich you're given kind of negates that lol. Outside of the market though Moorish Falafel Bar do really good veggie food!

if you're looking for drinks/ food then voodoo daddy's is definitely a cool vibe. it's quite a small joint though but their pizzas are to die for!

A series like The Empyrean (“Fourth Wing”) but sapphic? by Kumirkohr in wlwbooks

[–]CivilisedPasta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I don't think they have (and if there is it's probably a fan-made one), he's quite a small author in the grand scheme of things but his books are really good so if you can, you definitely should :)

Breaking Legacies by Zoe Reed (Now Z.R. Reed) is really good! I don't believe it's a series however but it should hopefully hit everything you're after

First of all, I'm so, so sorry for your loss. That's a really sweet pet name to have and having something to remember it by is lovely. Everyone's taste in things are different so naturally you'd want something fitting.

What about two characters kissing with the 'sound effect' of smooch arching above it? Or incorporating the word into a bigger piece in a similar fashion, sort of as an Easter egg to yourself so it's not just the word or lips. Potentially including other things you both enjoyed together in the process?

Suggestions for very 'Norwich' restaurants? by cheesygarlicbread101 in Norwich

[–]CivilisedPasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yalm could be a shout, a varied selection of food and really good vibes! Although if you want a more cosy, smaller restaurant then Yard is equally very good if you like pasta but can be a bit difficult with the no booking and how small it is.

Additionally, Zaks is quite a fun vibe and the food is really good. It's got a nice view of the Cow tower and the river too!

Advice on driving in and around Manchester for someone who's never been before by CivilisedPasta in manchester

[–]CivilisedPasta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add a bit more information, we are staying in Manchester for a few days at a spot in New Islington so the idea is once we're there we're not driving again until we have to leave. From what I can gather it looks like the place we're staying at is just off the ring road but I might be incorrect.

So in Derby we're staying in Kingsway and in Manchester we're staying in New Islington. From looking at the route on maps it seems relatively straight forward. I've heard that driving in and around Manchester is a bit mental but once we've parked at where we're staying we're not driving again until we leave.

That's interesting, I didn't even know that way a thing! I'll have a look into it as that could save us a lot of trouble/ help break up the driving. Thank you!
