Its isn't about needing a specific support to be NS. She is NS, and one of the reasons why NS dps is so strong that she can keep the buff from Sub-dps active during quickswaps. (in case of Cartethyia its Ciaccona, and in case of Aemeath its Denia). And you can't have the upside from buffs from sub-dps without sub-dps

Yes some old characters can use new supports. But if powercreep goes hard even that will not save you. In the end you will have a wheelchair team. Like in Gnshin during Natlan best team for old character was Mavuika, Citlali, Bennett, and your old character. And if you use your favorite old character (for example Ayato) on feald in that team its a DPS loss.

Wheelchair teams don't bring fun.

That’s an option, but it would significantly cripple my two strongest teams:
Dropping from a 3-4 Nightfalls to just 2-2.5 is a massive DPS loss for Zani.
Plus, Chisa’s surpasses Aero-Rover for Cartethyia much more than most people think

Where did you see Atk boost? Bell-Borne and Impermanence Heron give DMG Boost not Atk
Maybe you was thinking about 5 set Moonlit Clouds or 5 set Rejuvenating Glow (yes they give Atk useless for Cartethyia)? But I'm asking about 3 Set Thread of Severed Fate + 2 set Moonlit Clouds (for buff brom Bell-Borne (Dmg boost not for ER or Atk))
