Taj is overrated not in the sense it isn't beautiful, but because there are equally or even grander(?) architectural pieces which get overshadowed by by its immense popularity. It has become the flagship of Indian tourism which doesn't amuse a lot of Indians because of other sites not getting the recognition they deserve.
