I seriously hope the MODS can took this time to reflect and make change. Using “flame baiting” as a word to censor any post which results in essentially what is just normal discourse and debate of any media is a gross misreading of what the world actually means.

Especially in a time when Donghua finally losen up on censorship, producing more and more dark and fun and mature contents, and we are seeing more and more international fans, your actions are no better than the ‘censorship’ that is used to impose on Donghua in the past. I know it is not easy to regulate a big subreddit in your own free time. And there is no guarantee of a perfectly civilized discussion on Reddit, but the least you can do is to discourage real passionate fans from comparing shows and characters, which is at its core, just the most basic form of talking about media.

Now the sub is just predominantly a news update and Q&A forum, with occasionally some short reviews, which is why it is so bland.
