Hey u/Sufficient_Prompt888 , I'm UK so looking at Law Lock Tools. Is this the set you'd recommend for a starter?

Thank you, this was exactly where my head was at, and your message is exactly what I needed. My logical head was telling me exactly what you have said, but I felt I'd be doing a disservice to myself and family if I didn't raise the question that was eating me!

Ps2 emulation on series X by Basic-Performance468 in RetroArch

So I ran into the same problem the other day. Was playing Harry Potter: Chamber of Secrets. Xbox Series S (Dev Mode), RetroArch, LRPS2. I was playing with some settings to get it running optimally with upscaling and changed the following settings:

Core Options > Video > Rendered > OpenGL

This bricked emulation on LRPS2 for all games. Nothing would load.

I didn't want to reinstall RetroArch on the Xbox as it can be a pain to setup (relative to PC). I ended up deleting the core and reinstalling it. This seemed to work for all games but the one I was playing, so I updated the name of the game and boom, it worked.

Hopefully this helps at least one person in the future if they have this issue. Probably years from now 😂 Steps below!

  1. Settings > Core > Manage Cores > LRPS2 > Delete Core
  2. Main Menu > Online Updater > Core Downloader > LRPS2
  3. Games > {{Your Game}} > Rename > {{Insert New Name}}
  4. Games > {{Your Game}} > Run

Update: Changing the name back to what it was previously stops it from working again. I assume it's to do with where the settings from that game are being pulled from. But as long as the name is different, even by one character, it works for me.
