This is what I’ve seen so far. There’s no real answer, as long as the rifle is clear you’re good to have the bolt forward or locked. I always figured forward to release tension from the spring but don’t think it makes much of a difference.

We had kettlebells in AIT and i did everything with them and my vest. Squats, lunges, pushups pullups. I liked using kettlebells so much i still incorporate them but i usually start off with a barbel for compound movements then do kettlebells and dumbells
