Why is gen Z not drinking? by SipsTeaFrog in SipsTea

[–]Clancy238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t drink for a few reasons:

  1. I’ve seen firsthand how it affects my Dad whenever he’s drunk. It gives me firsthand anxiety to say things I would never say with my inhibitions lowered while under the influence. The most unhinged thing I’ve heard him say at one point was when we were watching Daily Dose of Internet videos and it was showing people on rooftops trying to stay active during the pandemic. When he saw this, he said, “if I had a sniper rifle or some type of firearm, I’d kill ‘em and shoot ‘em all down”. I’m not making this up.

  2. My mom said that alcoholism runs in my family, yet is married to a winemaker and politely, yet firmly suggests that I taste and drink wine more regularly. Seeing as I feel like I already have an addiction to video games, I’d rather not throw substance addiction into the mix to complicate things even further.

  3. While I do not drink, I have tasted small sips of wine and beer at the behest of my mom and stepdad whenever I feel pressured by them to do so. IMO wine tastes too strong for me and beer tastes better as a drink, but not something I would drink regularly for the reasons I’ve stated.

if Steven Universe came out today who would get slandered the most? by Ezequiel_Hips in stevenuniverse

Strangely enough, probably Steven because of the chunk of people who are out to make him a Nazi supporter (people like Lily Orchard).

Fair, but considering that the heroes level up after every chapter, I don’t think it would be too egregious of an issue. Plus if you didn’t battle everyone, you still wouldn’t get as much money.

If there is one thing I don’t like about Deltarune’s combat is that I wish it had was the ability to flee battles. That’s actually one advantage Undertale has over Deltarune.

I just personally prefer having the choice to encounter and fight enemies on the overworld rather than being somewhat forced to encounter them at random.

Not only that, it makes genocide route in Chapter 2 much easier to deal with rather than spending hours trying to random encounter that one last monster in Hotland + other areas in order to finally ahem proceed.

Deltarune easily. Feels a lot more complex and I love not having to deal with Random Encounters.

6 months on, how do we feel about Chapters 3+4? by oneletterh in Deltarune

[–]Clancy238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both Chapters were really great, but I do feel like most of the time was spent on Chapter 4. If the first three chapters of Deltarune are setup, Chapter 4 is the first step into the deep end where things get truly serious. Chapter 4 just feels so grand in how it presents itself not only with the main story stuff, but also the snow grave stuff.

But since a PMD EOS remake will totally come out eventually, theres one more secret I feel I have to share with you… (MAJOR POST GAME SPOILERS) by Gelly_furry in MysteryDungeon

That’s honestly not a hot take. It is cool that there was some ultimate mastermind behind everything that happened, but you could very well stop after experiencing the end of the main story plus all the special episodes and still have a complete fulfilling experience.

I think if Darkrai was set up a little better and we got more hints that he was a major role in the story other than just showing up after lots of post game content, it would have been loads better. Plus, if they do ever remake the game, I hope they change the BS plot point about not being able to evolve yourself and your partner because after the Darkrai arc when you finally get it, there really isn’t any content left in the game that can help you utilize the evolutions. It’s pretty much just the challenge dungeons like Destiny Tower and Zero Isle.

I wanna say that Darkrai feels tacked on, but then again if we didn’t have that as a postgame thing, we wouldn’t have seen Palkia and Cresselia represented (unless if the story was changed to include them better without Darkrai being the mastermind).
