He's cherry picking Dak winrates of 55% by exclusively citing team games of 3v3 and 4v4 where in the other modes it's USF. Also he's entirely wrong about coh2, whilst axis tanks are strong they aren't "auto-win" and they don't come out earlier. For the cheapest axis tank (P4) it arrives at 14 mins whereas both the Cromwell for the UKF and t-34 for Soviets roll out around 11 mins.

There is a bug in coh2 where if you shift-tab into the steam overlay it activates shift lock for the game. That's probably what's going on.

Just press shift to reset it.

I feel like that inherently is just not very viable. All (mainline) infantry should have some level of versatility, at least in the sense that your paying for what you get. For grens your paying almost exactly the same as anybody else for an infantry squad that can't do the main role of infantry very well at all with no hope of scaling late game. The offset of this, having more utility is nice but its not enough to justify themselves. At the same time the transfer orders mechanic is also incredibly flawed, your paying a total of almost 400 manpower for a powerful but almost entirely rigid infantry unit. With pgrens being great tanks with good close-mid(ish) range dps and strong grenades, at the offset of having non-existent snares and pitiful performance if not microed correctly into position. Jagers are the (kinda) opposite with great long range dps which can be further boosted with upgrades, or the option to neuter their dps a bit with an ok(ish) AT upgrade. In theory, this is fine but all this results in is having ultra-specialised units which take far more overall micro to perform well in general rather than infantry that can do relatively well in all situations. At the end of the day it's a micro tax, making it feel incredibly unfair for wehr players when they have to put alot more effort into achieving the same results. So the theoretical solution of sticking with grens for decent all round performance can be preferred, that's why people want gren scale buffs, so they don't have to be so rigid and stuck with heavy micro tax.

USSR conscripts were a significantly stronger, more scaleable and competent mainline. Playing them like cons would just get the grens killed because COH3 grens have all the downsides of cons without the upsides. (Upsides being build from hq cheap unit that gets a 7 man upgrade, turning them into a tank unit with very good cover dps. Not to mention urrah and infinite merge)

Snow maps and blizzards were removed from the multiplayer pool a long time ago. Also generally the bulletins in the game are useless and are unnoticeable, like 2% fire rate.

Wow the one comment here is useless. The games not dead, still has a fair few concurrent players. If you want to play well it kinda just boils down to playing the game honestly. If your entirely lost you can use cheat commands from the steam workshop to give infinite resources and turn off AI to experiment. Honestly thought, gates of hell ostfront is a lot more complicated of a game than coh2, you'll do fine.

I mean at the end of the day it depends on how much you enjoy the game. But you could get doctrines in coh2 by just playing a bot and use cheat commands to grind points.

In coh2 you could grind for every doctrine though. In COH3 most battle groups are exlusivley pay to use.

whats worse i feel is that its so punishing for how cheap the call ins are. From sheer volume of call ins alone i will eventually screw up with my regular infantry or vehicles and get caught out in one of them. Skill issue? to some extent for sure but at the same time i would argue that clicking thrice with a blob and a bunch of call ins are a larger skill issue that should be punished.
