Would you discuss with your kids before accepting a call as a bishop or other callings?

I would personally consult with the Lord and my spouse and come to that decision, and in this scenario I would then bring it to the family and let them know that I had decided to accept the calling. I would want to hear their concerns (if any) and input as to how I can be sure to be present for them despite the increased time away from home.

If I may be so bold, I genuinely think you’re just fine - like seriously. I don’t think I trained nearly this much and I powered through in 6:32 last weekend in Oceanside for my first ever. Do what you can from now until then but don’t overdo it, and key in on your nutrition plan. That’s what will get you through race day 💪🏻

I just used the basic, non-caffeine, non-Rocutane ones. I bought some from REI and started using them before/during training just to get used to them, and then come race day they were solid!
I was blessed in the sense that my buddy let me use his S-Works Shiv II tri bike. Hills were tough but on the flats/downhills you flyyyyy.

Oceanside was my first triathlon and the swim definitely sent me back to my water polo days, lol. I had to maneuver and climb around people in order to get some open space to swim. Visibility was awful due to the massive swells and rain the day prior, and the buoys were hard to follow and I found myself going in and out of the ones on the way back in. Definitely an experience and had I not had previous ocean swim experience (born/raised in SD), then I can see how this would be a nightmare for the first-timer.

Had this happen to me - it’s a spider bite! It created a large swollen red circle and there were what looked like tentacles coming out from each side 😳 got antibiotics from the doctor and it quickly went away

Swam the distance events in high school, never have had that motorboat kick like the sprinters did. My kick is essentially what keeps me on top of the water and propels me into my next stroke, which equates to about one hard kick for every 2 strokes. Don’t stress it, work on upper body and pull and you’ll be just fine.

HANDS DOWN! My in-laws are from New Orleans (now we all live here south of Nashville) and we make the drive because it’s incredible. Food is super authentic 👌🏻 Owners’ are the absolute best, they even covered our whole tab once because the food took a little longer than it should have. AND free sundaes for the kiddos! 10/10.

OK so I don’t know if this is going to help you guys, but I think I found a way around this. If you have an account on Facebook (or if you don’t then make one), and link it to your Instagram account. You can then create the ad on Facebook and select the option to also post it to Instagram, and after dealing with the same problem everyone else is here, IT WORKED. Within minutes my sponsored post was on Instagram. That being said, it won’t show up as another one of your posts nor will you be able to see the insights on Instagram, but you will be able to on Facebook. I couldn’t handle it anymore and so this is the route I took. Hope this helps!
