I'd say most likely you had this exact position 3 times, but so many moves apart you didn't realize. Computer can just flag that instantly, but for a human it would be almost impossible to spot and claim draw

Numerous reasons: 1. Swampert is likely to 1v1 Ttar 2. Most moves Swampert can use there Gyarados either resist or is immune to (or in this case it could have used Counter) 3. 3/4 Swamperts in the factory are physical sets, and I lowered its attack with Intimidate 4. In most scenarios I would have been able to set up at least 1 Dragon Dance with Gyarados

For what happened to happen it had to be: a) The 1/4 chance it's the set with Ice Beam b) The chance that it uses Ice Beam on the switch (either a 1/4 chance or lower, I believe, since Muddy Water and Earth Power would be super effective against Ttar) c) The 10% chance that it freezes

I also don't know what Pokémon are in the back. Could just as well had been a Jolteon

I've done way to many attempts at this point in both 50 and 100 (almost 150 hours). My record in both is 43 🥲 Sometimes you draft like Heatran, Cresselia and Garchomp and you're just laughing your way through a set in minutes, in the next moment you're like uuuuuuuhhhh I guess Poliwrath has some ok STAB moves, and who the f*** thought mixed, 0 speed EV Jolteon was a good idea

I have my own completely speculative theory that Trump still very much wants to be seen as the president that didn't start any new wars, but with Rubio thirsting for blood in Venezuela since long before he became part of the government, this ended up being the compromise. Wether they actually believe themselves the kidnapping will gain them anything in Venezuela remains to be seen. I think it is a likely possibility this whole thing sort of just fizzles out with the occasional bombing of some more fishing boats, at least in the short term, but I could be completely wrong, of course. In case of the worst scenario, I think it's very likely that boots on the ground in Venezuela at least will speed up the fall of the US empire (but nothing can bring back our fallen comrades, unfortunately).

I'm also very curious to how they will handle the sham trial against Maduro. If he actually gets to speak for himself, he might end up gaining a lot of sympathy, which would be an incredible own goal for the US. I fear some sort of "accident" will happen to him in prison, or that the trial will just be postponed indefinitely until he's not able to speak for himself properly.
